Property Ratings at Park West at Hillwood
My laundry was stolen from the laundry room (mid dry, so not really my fault). They “apparently” have cameras but didn’t even see me in the laundry room on them??? Refused to let me see footage. I requested to rent a washer/dryer for my room and still didn’t receive one 6 months into my lease. Honestly a terrible place with awful management.
I am absolutely disgusted with the way management treats their tenants. They are nice to you just long enough to move you in, after that? Prepare for a bunch of passive-aggressive communication from the management. The location is convenient, but it is NOT worth the long term issues you’ll have to deal with. The noise from the Rottweiler owners when you first enter the property should be enough to deter you from the jump. For what we’re paying monthly we could own a 3 bedroom house. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
My brother and I lived here for 2 years. We moved out 7/15/18 but had paid rent for the entire month of July so we could slowly move all of our things into our new place. We came back to the apartment several days before our lease expired and our personal property had been thrown away and they had begun remodeling. When we complained and asked for reimbursement for our property, they gave several excuses (all unfounded) including saying that we terminated our lease early and that we still had an unpaid balance remaining on our account. Both of these excuses were found to be false after further investigation. They finally agreed to refund my brother and I for our property and we received our check over a month later after they sent it to our old apartment instead of to their office. Other than the terrible experience at the end of our lease, it was a pretty nice place to live. We did have our cars broken into a couple times, but other than that it was fairly quiet and a convenient location. The staff were usually very friendly.
I have been at Park West for over a year now and there are a lot of other residents that have been here for a long time too. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The maintanance supervisor is quick and goes above and beyond to make sure service request are complete. The grounds keeper is also very nice. Park west is a tranquil place to be & prices are fair especially in terms of location. Also, parking is free, trash pick up is free, there is no pet rent and they don't charge for pest control services! I would recommend anyone to live here!!
