A former mayor once dubbed Bellingham the “City of Subdued Excitement,” an oddly perfect nickname for this delightful and unique community. Ninety minutes north of Seattle on Interstate 5, Bellingham is a charming small city positioned about twenty miles from the Canadian border. Western Washington University enrolls around 16,000 students, many of whom chose to live in the coastal Sehome area near campus.
Locals are quite enthusiastic about beer, books, and bicycles, and you’ll spot many businesses around town specializing in any and all of those Pacific Northwest staples. Bellingham hosts numerous community events throughout the year, covering everything from music to athletics; perhaps the most unique is the annual Ski to Sea race, a seven-leg relay in which teams compete to get from Mount Baker Ski Area to Bellingham Bay via skis, bikes, boats, and by foot.

Property Ratings at Park View Village
I lived here for over a year and before that my daughter lived here in another apartment for over 3 years while going to school and getting her experience. This is the best place I ever lived. Small community, super safe, the best location right next to a huge beautiful park and trails, I had a view of Mount Baker out of my window. Everything is inside in perfect condition, almost brand new. Cheryl is the property manager and she does an awesome job keeping this place safe, clean and well maintained. Her son Alex works as a handyman on the property and they will fix things within minutes if anything broken. As a solo female I felt the safest I ever been. The building is secure, all neighbors are professionals, all dogs are good well behaved dogs which was critical to me. Cheryl does an excellent job getting only good tenants in. I would absolutely live there again. Life changes forced me to move but if I ever return to the area, this will be my place. I know by posting this review I might not find anything available to move into in the future if I ever decide to move back to Bellingham but I think I owe to Cheryl this review. She is the best. And a very important thing is that this building has an elevator. I have health issues and could not climb the stairs and my dog corgi cannot walk stairs either. The elevator was a lifesaver. The only thing I wish they had is a balcony, that would be nice. But since the weather is mainly cool in Bellingham, this was not a very important part. I highly recommend this place as a parent because when I moved my daughter to Bellingham to go to school I worried as a mother and I lived far away back then. This is a very safe place especially for students trying to live first time away from parents. Your kids will be very safe here.
The place is so beautiful and well maintained , they are also pet friendly. Very secured. Walking on TJ max ,Community Grocery store and more shopping areas. The place is also near Whatcom University and Cordata Park.
The building is very well maintained, and on-site management is very capable and considerate of all tenant needs. The location is excellent, near walking paths and only a short driving distance away from stores. Peaceful, calm atmosphere and upscale apartments. One of best places I have seen in Bellingham.
