The Lower Hills District of Oakland is made up of several small neighborhoods, including Piedmont, Crocker Heights, Oakmont, and Redwood Heights. Situated just seven miles to the east of Downtown Oakland on the north side of Interstate 580, the Lower Hills District maintains a small town feel despite its location among one of the Bay Area’s biggest communities. Windy, tree-lined streets house both new apartments and homes dating back to the '30s and '40s. Residents don’t have to travel far for everyday needs thanks to Oakland’s fast-growing economy. There is a plethora of shopping and dining options scattered around this sprawling community. You’ll find most of the amenities close to the MacArthur Freeway (Interstate 580) or near Park Boulevard. Access to the freeway and Bay Area Rapid Transit make getting around the rest of the Bay Area a breeze.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Park Glenview Apartments- Boutique Senior Living
My sister moved into one of these apartments over 5 years ago. At the time I was living in San Leandro. I would visit her often and was always charmed, not only by her apartment, but also by the building. The apartments are spacious and well laid out with lots of light. Then over a year ago a unit opened up and I was able to move in. I loved living there. There’s a laundry room with a sitting area nearby, a glassed-in sunroom on the top floor, and a large common room where tenants could gather for bingo, movie nights, board games, jigsaw puzzles, etc all provided by management. I’ve never lived anywhere where management was not only responsive and quick to respond to requests, but also went out of their way help create a community.
Moving to Park Glenview was one of those major life changes for me. After 45 years of raising a family and living in the same house, I sold my house and relocated with some trepidation. After two years at Park Glenview, I am so grateful for that change. My apartment is just the right size for me in my life as a single senior citizen. I wake up every morning to see the beautiful Redwood trees just outside my window. If there is a maintenance issue, I get an immediate response. I know I can depend on management. I have very friendly neighbors, and have made some very dear friends here. We support each other. I appreciate the community room where we can gather. I also am grateful for the parking garage. My move to Park Glenview has proven to be a very positive life change.
In addition to the description you have already read, Park Glenview provides safe and affordable living in a lovely and comfortable space. My neighbors are friendly and supportive of each other. We have decorative and well maintained common areas, an on-site manager who responds immediately if I’ve locked myself out, sells me quarters for the laundry room when the banks stopped providing this service. Our spacious Community Room contains a loaded bookcase, games ands jigsaw puzzles, friends who drop by on their way home from our parking garage, to stop by to help or just chat. Two separate elevator systems provide access to our connected but separate buildings. Our off-site manager keeps us well supplied with fresh flowers and holiday decorations in our common areas. During this awful pandemic I have felt safe with my fellow masked neighbors but never isolated. Every time I unlock our security gate to walk into our property I enjoy the lovely landscaping. Are there any draw backs to living here? After 2 years I can’t think of any!
We are 1.2 miles walking distance to Lake Merritt and great shopping area on Grand and Lakeshore. The apartments have a unique design with plenty of closet space and wide windows. Its is a very quiet, clean, and safe/secure community. I highly recommend living here.
wonderful building great staff super helpful laundry facilities need updating always feel secure and at home
Excellent building, super secure and great staff. Upkeep can be a little slow but it gets done in the end. Wide halls, bright light from plenty of windows and great air on the 4th floor. This area is crazy right now, lease renewal time we will have to talk about a rent reduction.
