Just south of Barton Creek Habitat Preserves sits one Austin’s most family-friendly neighborhoods, West Oak Hill. Popular for its large lot sizes and relative tranquility when compared to the rest of the city that lies to the east, West Oak Hill is full of charming older houses, contemporary apartment homes, and plenty of amenities.

The nature preserve to the north is a notable feature, but there are also plenty of shopping centers on the neighborhood’s west side. Love the fact that even in the complex, you never leave the hill country scenery. There’s a trail towards the back that my dog and I have made a routine. Staff keeps you updated with everything. Portal is super easy to use. Maintenance was quick. 8/10 (bc of the small kitchen cabinets)

I’ve lived at Hudson Miramont for 12 years, it’s a great place to call home! The property is beautiful, both the interior and exterior of the buildings, and the lush landscapes of native flowers and tress. It’s centrally located and quick to get anywhere, downtown, dripping springs, bee cave and Lakeway.

You get charged a trash pickup fee but your trash doesn't always get picked up. You're not allowed to throw away your own trash because you get fined. They keep the trash compactors locked and the community cannot access them.

I'm a 10 year resident of the Hudson Miramont community and I love the people who take care of it, who help populate it and the people who live here. When we have a crisis (remember the Icecane of February 2022?), we all band together to assist each other and it's a beautiful experience. The pool is like a family reunion, all during the warm months. Hudson appears to be far away from downtown, however the reality is that it is a VERY short drive to the downtown area, is built next to a beautiful greenbelt and if you are a plant lover, next door to Natural Gardener. I highly recommend living at Hudson Miramont!!!

I do not feel valued or respected living here. The residents are nice, maintenance is good, but the buildings are very old. I've had to call over 18 maintenance issues since moving here a year ago which is absolutely too many. There are pest problems here even though they claim to spray each week. The worst thing I feel is just the management. They are very aggressive with daily emails threatening the residents and do not make me feel valued or respected in the slightest.

Hudson Miramont is a quiet community. I feel safe living here. Location is great, and management is very responsive and helpful. Hudson Miramont is an excellent apartment community. The units are very spacious and the people (residents and staff) are all friendly. The best thing I like about the community is that the residents are proud of where they live and do their part to keep it that way. I love this place. I have lived here almost five years -- my apartment is beautiful and affordable, and there is no reason to leave. Residents are friendly. There is no crime that I've detected and I feel very safe walking the grounds at any time of the day or night with my dog.

I lived here for almost 3.5yrs from 2018 - 2021. Hands down the best place I have lived so far among all apartments I have rented. The mgmt and staff really do care about the well being of the residents. For the location and amenities, the rent is the best in the neighborhood. Hudson Miramont is a great place to live! Ive lived here for a decade and it feels like home. The property management and maintenance teams go above and beyond to solve issues quickly. The location is ideal, its quick to get downtown or anywhere youd want to go since its centrally located. Nearby shopping has anything youd want, Whole Foods, Barnes and Noble, Central Market, Dillards, etc. The property is beautiful, on top of a hill with breathtaking hill country views, and the landscaping with gardens and flowering trees really adds to the joy of living here. You will love living here!

Nice, quiet place to live. The apartment complex features great amenities (gym and pool in particular), and an maintenance and administrative staff. Small gestures such as the monthly news letter, happy hours, holiday treats, and the occasional food truck provide a nice personal touch that I have not received at the other places I have lived.

Hudson Miramont is the Best

I've lived in several apartment complexes in Austin, and the Hudson Miramont is by far the best. My one-bedroom apartment is beautiful. Highlights include the natural light and high ceilings; the solarium with room enough for all my plants as well as a small table and two chairs; a large kitchen with plenty of counter space for small appliances and lots of cabinets for storage; the large bathroom. What makes it special, though, are the people. Stacey, the manager, is the consummate professional. She stays on top of things, and that's why the property is beautiful and well-maintained. The office staff are all very friendly and helpful. Finally, the maintenance crew is amazing. They respond to service requests ASAP, and they're all so very respectful and pleasant when they come into the residents' apartments. HM ticks all the boxes. 100%.

Best price per sqft/lease length

The square footage, floor plan, patio and the pool area were among my favorites while living here. Rarely did we need to contact for a service request, but when needed it was completed in a quick and efficient manner. The staff all around was very pleasant and professional. They really do work to provide a neighborhood environment. It is very quiet and central to downtown Austin, Lakeway and Dripping Springs.

Incredibly dissapointed

Maintenance staff only decent part of this place. Dog crap everywhere even though they charge you 280 for leaving it. The staff provides 0 wiggle room so now I get to pay rent for 2 months after I vacated!! How am I supposed to pay rent for 2 places for 2 months. Pay attention to your leases because they only see money and not the people that live here. It's also quite far away from anything in the city so be prepared to drive 30+ to do anything. Car's get broken into even though the complex is way out in the boonies, if you can even get a parking spot in the complex of course.

5 Stars all around!

Living at Hudson Miramont was the best possible experience!! My family and I lived here for several years, only leaving when our family grew and we were forced to get more space in a home. (We stayed as long as we could, moving to larger units until we just ran out of room). The complex is perfect for raising a family or living on your own with a wonderful mix of neighbors. Any time we had an issue or needed something, the whole team at Hudson Miramont was there to help. Thank you Stacey, Holly, Krista, and the entire maintenance team for a wonderful experience living at the Hudson. We would have stayed longer if we could have!

Great apartment home

We just signed our second 15-month lease here. Contrary to the experience of other reviewers, I've found this community to be very friendly and management very responsible and responsive. The maintenance crew are superstars--skilled and reliable. This whole team works hard to keep this place running and looking great. I appreciate them a lot. The location is excellent--from here, you can get anywhere in Austin faster than you could from the middle of town, thanks to SW Parkway and MoPac (even now, when it's more like SloPac). Bee Cave and Dripping Springs are close by too, both with shopping and restaurants and things to do. But you don't even have to travel to enjoy the Hill Country. On two sides, Hudson Miramont looks out over the 4,000 acre Barton Creek Preserve with a view that goes on forever. The other two look out over surrounding ranch land and hills. Lots of nearby places to walk, especially with a dog. The Natural Gardener is right next door, where if you tell them the orientation of your balcony they will help you pick the perfect plants. The apartments are roomy and well designed, with more windows and natural light than most other places we checked out, big closets, and maximal usable space. I love the big balconies. Rents here are still appreciably lower than other options of similar quality. Occupancy is generally pretty high, from what I can tell. When we came looking, they had only one apartment in our move-in window. We grabbed it, love it, and are happy to be staying on. In my experience as a renter, it's really important to keep two things in mind: a) As in the rest of life, you tend to get what you give, and b) The lease agreement is a legally binding contract that spells out exactly what will happen in almost any dispute that's likely to arise. It's a super excellent idea to read it.

Never, Ever, Ever.

I would HIGHLY recommend NOT living at Hudson Miramont. Upon moving out, we were told by the office that we would not be charged for our carpet because it was so old that they would be replacing it anyway. We were told not to bother steam cleaning it. As soon as we turned in our keys we received a bill for $650 to replace the carpet. When we called and talked to Stacey, the manager, she completely denied ever saying this. We feel so manipulated and taken advantage of. Would not recommend this complex to anyone. Never have I ever been more disappointed by an apartment staff or treated so poorly by a manager. Such a pity that it is not run by more upstanding characters.

Not the place to live!

This has to be the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in my entire life. If they don’t like you they will make your living experience one to regret! I have lived in the apartments for almost a year and will be moving our soon because of their treatments towards my family. I referred a family member to the apartments telling her to come by and take a look and because she didn’t realize these were the exact apartments she put drive by on the application. So they didn’t honor it because it would be "unethical" per the manager Stacy. This apartment is by far the worst place to live! They don’t keep their word they find any loop hole possible. They have nothing better to do then to find ways not to do things.

Don't live here...they will rob you.

DO NOT LIVE HERE...especially if you have pets. The reason they waive the security deposit is so they can overcharge you when you move out. I've lived in apartments in Austin for the past 7 years and have never been taken financial advantage of like this place. I've never written a review before but I felt it necessary to warn people about this MONEY PIT. I was not charged a security deposit but did pay $500 pet deposit ($250 refundable - but wasn't) and $120 in pet rent for a year. Total $620. When leaving they said there were a few small spots on the carpet from my 4lb dog and that because of it they would have to replace the whole carpet and charged me over $400. Honestly, these spots could have been patched because of how small they were but Stacey, the manager, refused and said it was mandatory to have the whole carpet replaced. I explained $620 should be more than enough to cover any "pet damage" but Stacey said it doesn't cover any "pet damage" and that was extra. So what is the point in a deposit and rent?! Stacey, the manager, was rude and not willing to compromise on the expenses. STAY AWAY...this place will rob you when you move out.
