It is also ideally located, roughly nine miles southwest of Milwaukee. After moving to Greendale, be sure to visit the Historic Greendale Welcome Center to learn more about this picturesque village. Greendale was one of three cities created in 1936 as part of President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal.
Greendale is home to Wisconsin's largest mall, the Southridge Mall, which offers more than 125 stores. The downtown area is filled with locally-owned shops and restaurants, providing plenty of options for residents and visitors. A great location for those with children, Greendale has one of the best high schools in the state, Greendale High School.
