Otarre Pointe

My original review which said the same thing got taken down. It was great when the original staff was here. my car was broken into and before I even described him the manager did because she said that someone else described the same person breaking into their car. she even said "It's crazy how they just moved in and we started having problems". Dont move here. No point in spending so much when you cant even have peace of mind.

I am now on my 2nd yr and I have to say I was very concerned when the original staff left it was going down hill now that Sandy is back it's getting back to the beautiful place it was 2 yrs ago I also like to thank Ann and the gals in the office they are super great and of Course Darly and his maintenance team they r always on the ball my only concern is there are a few tenants that have no respect for others that ruin it, with that being said I would differently recommend Otarre Pointe

I’ve lived here for over a year and I absolutely love my apartment! It has a great amount of living and storage space. I love how nice and easy it is to walk around the complex as well as on the nearby Timmerman Trail.

I think is the best place to live in the city hands-down

I just recently moved here and I love it! The floorplan is absolutely perfect for me! Location is excellent! I am really looking forward to enjoying the pool soon. The only downside here so far is the parking. Spots are not designated so it can be a challenge in the evenings finding a spot close. Pros still outweigh the Cons!

A good community to live for very peaceful and clean. I recently move here and really like the surroundings. It’s a good place with lots of amenities, very cool staff and also close to nature.

This is my second time living at this complex and it’s been great both times. The location is wonderful, quiet but still close by to Columbia. The staff has always been great to work with. Prompt communication and friendly service.

I am moving to town from out of state and am out of practice when it comes to renting! Yana worked with me from start to finish and was so helpful and thorough in her instructions. She and the other faculty have made me feel welcomed and supported even before move in. I am so thankful to be working with such a wonderful group of staff!

amenities, maintenance staff are amazing! the office staff are one of a kind!!! Otarre Pointe give you a sense of peace and serenity!!

I moved into the places last year from Canada and let me tell you the girls they run this place are AMAZING!!!! Kelly,Jamie are quick to help you with whatever you need and are super friendly!!!! ONLY THING TO BEWARE OF IS THE ACTUAL CORPORATION THAT OWNS THESE PLACES!!! They will add fees it seems every month for this or that and don't tell tenants about these changes that we have to pay for which I'm sorry if you rent somewhere and sign a lease that's WHAT YOU PAY!!! NO MORE/NO LESS but to the actual building corporation they do not care at all and keep adding fees into your rent !!!! A money grab for them for sure!!!! Places themselves are very nice and well maintained, the actual on ground employees are super nice... If only the actual CORPORATION would give a crap about the tenants and the money then these places would be amazing!!!! But unfortunately the CORPORATION doesn't and contains e to make us pay more and more service fees for crap we don't even want or needed but didn't let us voice it.

Fantastic location close to the highway puts you in a 10-minute or less driving distance from all things good in Cayce and Columbia. The property itself is beautiful with well-designed green space, a dog park, a bocce ball court, and the biggest pools of the Cayce/Columbia apartment complexes I've seen. Don't forget the 24 hour gym and printing room! Awesome coffee at the leasing office you can start your day with, and then walk right to the Timmerman Trail! Wonderful community feel with fun social events and friendly staff and neighbors. I'm so glad I chose to live here!

I have lived in the community for 4 years and I haven't been disappointed. I've residents come, go and return to live here. I haven't seen a better staff then I have at Otarre. They are Very Personable and fun Loving. If you want to Live On Pointe please come here to live.. you will not be disappointed!

This property sits at I-77 & I-26. Less than ten minutes from downtown Columbia. Close proximity to the hospital. Great location. Schools are great. Twelve minutes from Irmo. Right on a major walking trail. Safe area and great place to reside!!!!

The Ladies in the office are FANTASTIC and VERY PROFESSIONAL. They have met all of my needs. Maintenance is Helpful!!1 They go over and Beyond!!

I am looking to get a new apartment and the property looks pretty clean and is surrounded by greenery. The people at the leasing office are helpful.

Otarre Pointe is in a beautiful location and has somewhat new buildings. That being said, the management here is so terrible- there are several things you should know before moving in: 1. The apartment complex is littered with garbage and dog poo. everywhere. To solve this issue, the management sends out vague and unclear messages about it and forces tenants to pay fees to enter amenities they said would be provided for free (i.e. the dog park) - which clearly doesn't help the issue. 2. You must pay for valet trash, $25 per month. For recycling, they offer no support (I drive mine 20 min to the nearest facility). They also charge you $25 every time you leave your garbage can outside your door past 9:00 am. 3. Management will send you messages in the form of a piece of paper shoved in the crack of your door. It is usually some vague message about how you are breaking some unwritten rule and they will charge you for any mistake. The written rent on their website does not include all the fees they force on you. If you try to email or call them, be aware that they will not answer emails (because they don't want anything in writing) and forget everything they say on the phone. 4. Although you can get a place with a porch, the management will send you vague notes about how your porch looks "cluttered" and send more and more new rules about what you can have on your porch. They are basically not content unless your porch looks like a Pier 1 ad. 5. The place is owned by a larger corporation. This means that rules are constantly changing, rent increases constantly, and you will be dehumanized as a tenant. 6. During COVID, management has sent more fees to tenants - to the point of harassment. They are clearly struggling for money and think it is the responsibility of their working tenants to pay additional amounts while their job security is in jeopardy. 7. They do not keep up the amenities. The pool was closed most of last summer, the bocce ball sand pit has dog poo in it, the corn hole sand bags are molding, and the grills don't work/are a fire hazard. The dog park is a complete mess (i.e. no shade, broken water fountain, broken dog course), that you now have to pay additional fees to enter. In summary, please take these points into consideration before moving here. It is SO nice to live near Timmerman Trail and be far away from the downtown area, but the management make it impossible to enjoy.

It's not like this is a cheap property to live in... You would expect an apartment to be move-in ready when you move-in, but in this case you would be incorrect. After showing up at the leasing office 3 days in a row, they were unable to give a reasonable time frame as to when someone would come to deal with my broken bathroom storage. The woman in the office told me to go ahead and shower and hung up on me. I go to get in the shower, low and behold they rang on my door bell. I had to drop everything and get dressed to let this maintenance person in due to the unrealistic time frame I was given by the leasing office. Yet, they hold residents to a higher standard and demand money the same day if not sooner when it was their error in calculating fees to begin with. I am extremely unhappy with this experience. 2/10, would not recommend.

I've lived at Otarre Pointe for almost a year now and I'm excited to start another year's lease soon! The location is ideal for travel (access to both major interstates & only 10 minutes to downtown) but is far enough outside the city to avoid the hustle and bustle. The apartments are amazing with spacious floor-plans and brand new appliances. The staff is the absolute best! Kelly and Kima are beyond helpful and have made me feel more welcome here than any other apartments around. It's much more than an apartment complex. It's a community. I'm proud to call Otarre Pointe my home.

I highly recommend Otarre Pointe Apartment Homes! I am very happy I got to make this my new home when I relocated to SC for work and sunshine. Every staff member has been very kind and helpful. I needed an appliance serviced which was taken care of within a couple of hours although it was not an emergency. Everything has been great! Very clean and quite. You won't regret making Otarre Pointe Apartment Homes your new home too!

This Place looks gorgeous. I recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy luxury living for a great price.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with Otarre Pointe apartments. It all started when I went for a tour before most of the units were built. The office staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I felt at home hadn't put in an application yet. Next, I stayed in constant communication with the complex before deciding to apply. The office staff, yet again, called and sent emails regarding my questions, concerns, and application statuses. After moving in, each time I would stop by, they were always so cheerful. They answered my thousands of questions and made me feel glad about my decision to relocate. I had one small maintenance issue that was resolved within an hour, and maintenance called to give me details on what needed to be fixed. Love!! Now about the complex..it is GORGEOUS!! The colors of the buildings and the greenery make for a lovely view during a stroll around the area. I have never felt so safe in an apartment complex. Cayce police are located at your front door. The location is phenomenal. We're in the middle of major interstate intersections, so commutes are a breeze! I'm finally excited to meet new neighbors and enjoy events with my Otarre Pointe community. Love it here!
