The noise levels in the community are horrible. There is a lack of management, security, or any leasing staff to remedy any concerns. The leasing office never gets back to residents in a reasonable time, if at all. The parking garage and elevator are out of service every other week.

Onyx Glendale is one of the cleanest and well-maintained apartment complexes I’ve lived in. The office staff and janitorial staff have all been super awesome at making the place feel welcoming and secure. It’s also very close by and walkable to everything a person might need, from grocery stores, to the Galleria and Americana, and to great food.

The worst leasing office communication ever. They focus all of their time on getting new renters and could care less about current residents. Security is extremely lacking. There are NO cameras in elevators, hallways or stairwells. There is a "courtesy patrol" that does nothing. If you live in the B building your packages will be laying all over the floor in the mail room for days. The leasing office is in building A and they only care about that lobby and package room. They are extremely Lazy and refuse to come over to the B building to log packages and put them away. They don't even decorate the B building lobby for the holidays, only the A building lobby had Halloween decorations. They don't even walk the building each day like they should. There will be the same trash sitting in the hallways for weeks. The building is looking very old. Lots of skuffs in the hallways, paint peeling, huge gashes in doors and door frames, stained carpets from pets and spills. Machines in the gym not working, tiles in the pool (which is very small and very cold) and hot tub have fallen off and never replaced, TVs in game area not working correctly, the main entrance door has broken more times than I can count and of course the leasing office never once sent out communication about it via email. The units themselves look nice at first site. But then you quickly realize that the cabinets are very cheap, look like plastic and start to bubble and warp with use. The wall paint is extremely cheap. If you put furniture against a wall, the paint will chip and turn color very quickly. I assume this is on purpose so the office can charge you for paint when you move out. I've heard and read horror stories of the amount they charge you at move out, can't wait for that, soon. The insulation between floors is terrible. If you're not on the top floor you will hear everything the person above you does. And the leasing office does nothing about noise complaints. Residents smoke weed in their units, stairwells and parking garage all the time which you can smell everywhere even inside your unit. The office could care less about your complaints, not that they would acknowledge your email anyway... The entrance and exit to the parking garage is extremely dangerous. There will be large vehicles parked right next to it making a blind exit onto very busy California St. For the price of these apartments with an aging building and terrible communication , I can not recommend Onyx.

As a first-time apartment resident, I don't think ONYX leasing staff could have been any more helpful when it comes to the leasing process and making myself and my roommates feel welcome. I am very happy that we chose this complex to live in as opposed to others located nearby because the amenities here seem better maintained, staff is always responsive/attentive and accommodating, overall ONYX has more to offer. The location couldn't be any better -- everything you could need is very close by and there is a lot to do within walking distance. We are all very happy to have chosen ONYX.

We looked at 27 apartments in Glendale, Pasadena and Burbank before deciding to lease at Onyx Glendale. The apartments are spacious and bright, the rent is a great value considering the amenities and location. We are delighted to be living at Onyx Glendale!

I love living at Onyx! Great location and the apartment is lovely. The staff in the leasing office is always helpful anytime I call or stop in and Eddie in Maintenance is gem because he is so good at what he does.

My move-in experience was extremely efficient and made me very happy. I literally applied for an apartment online, moved in and had utilities set up two days later. Enjoying life in Glendale now without any worries.

Every team member of the Onyx Glendale Apartment makes you feel like they remember you, like you have a sense of community living here, and are always nice and professional. We haven’t encountered any issues besides one maintenance call, and it was a general service call that got taken care of same day!

This is a wonderful and convenient place to live. Staff is very responsive, community is very quiet and excellent amenities. Very close to all of the eating places and easy access to the freeways. Love this place!! A must to see!
