Apartments for Rent Near Washington State University
Nestled among the idyllic rolling hills of eastern Washington, Washington State University simultaneously offers an energetic collegiate experience and a tranquil small-town lifestyle. The university’s hometown of Pullman is very close to the Idaho state line, and in fact the University of Idaho sits just eight miles east of WSU’s main campus. The student body accounts for about forty percent of the local population, so Pullman definitely exhibits a distinct college town vibe. Greek life is a major presence on campus, with roughly one in five students at Wazzu involved with a fraternity or sorority. Fitting for its somewhat remote rural location, the university puts a heavy emphasis on agricultural research and education. The west side of campus is the most densely filled with major administration and classroom buildings, so the neighborhoods in this area tend to be the most popular among students, faculty, and university staff. This section of the city is also the closest to Downtown, so the apartments, condos, and houses here will generally put you within easy walking distance of the main campus as well as the popular coffeehouses, bars, and restaurants along Main Street and Grand Avenue.
