Apartments for Rent Near Florida International University
FIU is one of the biggest colleges in the country by student population, so you’ll be sharing the campus with over 55,000 of your peers, representing dozens of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. The campus is gigantic, so you’ll probably end up taking the Panther Mover to get around if you don’t have a bike. With downtown Miami just a short drive down 8th street, students are never short of things to do: The nightlife is wild, the food is unbelievable, and the beach is practically right next door. The area closer to campus is a little more subdued, but you can still enjoy a pint at Bululu, grab a late-night empanada at Los Perros, or chill after class at SpecialTea Lounge without having to go far. All in all, FIU more than earns its reputation as both a world-class research university and a fun place to further your education. Just be careful not to step on the university seal at the Graham Center—it’s bad luck!
