Property Ratings at Oasis at Montclair
This is the second apartment i have moved into and this is the best by far. I have been living here for almost a year and I haven’t had any problems or issues. I’m in nursing school and often get home late or leave really early and having the gate in front of the apartment makes me feel very safe doing so. It’s very clean and the staff is amazing here! Every holiday we are welcomed with small tokens of gifts on our doorstep which just shows the extra mile they put in here. I made a maintenance request and by the next day they were coming to fulfill the request. I would recommend anybody who is looking for an apartment in this area to live here!
I have been with Oasis since 2016. Kettler sold in late September. I have had the worst time since the change. Safety is not a concern, cars were broken into inside the gated community and the new Management NEVER addressed nor put a plan into action to ensure the residents safety. DO NOT RENT here, it is not safe despite paying for a gated community.
Jeez I cannot stand this management. We has to move out. The dog poop is unbearable. The walls are paper thin. The trash is down wind and not emptied nearly enough. Every amenity is severely flawed and every pretty picture is saturated and cheap. I was not proud to raise my son here. My husband and I made the decision for our safety and health to leave. Unbelievably faux and flawed.
From the outside Oasis looks good but once living in apartments it's different. Walls and floors very thin and virtually no soundproofing on flooring. Recently they have taken to putting in cheap wooden flooring so don't get apartment with one above as you hear everything, even people walking gently sounds so loud. Everything is on the cheap side, thin layers of paint on walls which mark so easily and look terrible when you try to clean them. Units in kitchen and bathroom are old and dark, rooms get really cold when it's windy or cold outside and main doors have gaps at bottom letting every breeze in. Supposed to be pet friendly but this is at a high cost, not only on deposit but monthly rent is more as well....and you don't get anything for that. Dog park has very bad drainage and getting in and out is so muddy. Lots of lazy owners who don't pick up after their dogs and the fencing is cheap material which a dog can easily push apart to get through. Place is supposed to be gated but the perimeter is not fenced at the side where Target is, so people can easily get in and out plus main gates broken a lot so are not always closed. Gym and pool are small but adequate. Car wash area is a plus. Decks have mesh coverings which is good for summer but flooring needs looking at. Staff are friendly in business manner, polite and know your name. All in all expensive for what you get...other places just as good for less
I love living here! The property is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is AMAZZZZZING! They are so willing to help with anything that I need and any maintenance issue I've ever had has been fixed quick fast and in a hurry! I love living here and I would recommend it to all my friends and family or anything looking for an amazing and quiet place to live!
The Haven apartments are a excellent apartment complex , excellent living conditions luxury apartments. With all the amenities of life.
I live in a luxury apartment with all the amenities for life the staff is outstanding. It's like living in a vacation world but is home.
The walls are paper thin, it's suppose to be a gated community but the gate is always broken and I've been here for almost a year. The staff is very warm, welcoming, and friendly! The location is amazing, there is a Target and Shoppers in walking distance. The community layout is great! However, from the outside looking in, the place looked amazing until you move in and hear everything in the hallways from people running, stomping, and yelling. I would not renew my lease due to all the noise.
Very loud place. You can hear people beside you and above. The neighbor below tried to fight me one morning in the parking lot because my wife woke him up walking to the bathroom. He told me we wore "elephant boots" and he was tired of it. I had to call the cops and it took management almost three weeks to move him to a new place. Most people are nice but have no expectation of privacy in your apartment. One of my neighbors tells us she can hear the newly weds on the adjacent wall going at it. So there you go.
When entering the office, I knew this was home. The office staff greeted me immediately and they are very professional and make you feel at home. The product is absolutely gorgeous. Once I moved in, I had a small issue with my Dishwasher and Steve took care of it as soon as I put a request in. The staff cares so much for their residents that they will do anything it takes to keep a smile on our faces. I would suggest anyone I know picking out this place. It's away from all the traffic and Route 1 congestion and it's close to a Shoppers, Target, Starbucks, Panera, etc. We are so glad we made the Haven our home.
