Property Ratings at Oakhaven Apartments
I've lived here for 2 years, and I've had so many problems with maintenance issues. There is no property management on site. No contact information except for a maintenance that lives 6 hours away. He never answers the phone. If and when they do come to repair something, they do half the job, and say they'll have to come back but never do. I've even tried withholding rent until repairs were done, and they came and halfway fixed my issues. The following repairs remain unfinished. I've been without a window since October 2022. The whole winter, I've been without the window. It and the thermostat ran my power bill up to over $350 for a one bedroom 3 room apartment. We are told to submit repair requests by putting notes in the drop box with rent. But there's no one there to get them since there's no management onsite. The only time you see anyone is when the rent is collected, and they get out of there really quick. This place could be a really nice apartment if they'd take some of the government grant money to do the necessary repairs. It's sad when someone is disabled and draws very little money. We're all on a budget. I haven't spoken to any of the neighbors, but if I'm having issues, I'm sure they are too. It's ridiculous to go without a window for the entire Winter! A $350 power bill takes most of my check. It's crippling for me economically. The following repairs remain unfinished and wouldn't take that long to complete. Since the power bill is so expensive, I can't just call someone up to come do the repairs or I would at this point, but they'll probably just come up with a reason to evict me. What has the world come too? Shower handle has been broken 4 months Thermostat Window completely busted out by the man that mows since Oct. 2022. It is now Feb 2023.
