Located fifteen miles northwest of New York City, Nutley is a fairly large township of around 30,000 people on the banks of the Passaic River. The close proximity to NYC makes Nutley a popular choice among commuters, who are often drawn to the area’s quiet neighborhood streets and small-town vibe. Franklin Avenue serves as the backbone of Nutley’s Downtown district, lined with a rich assortment of locally-owned restaurants and specialty shops in a walkable layout.
Just north of town, a cluster of larger shopping centers offers more big-box options as well as the local multiplex theater. The greenbelt following Third River as it flows through town provides a beautiful area for you to enjoy the tranquility of nature, within a short walk of almost anywhere in the community.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Nutley Gardens
Stayed here for a year, it's a nice neighborhood but very poor apartments badly insulated, these apartments are not soundproof at all. If it's an old apartment, then there is no dishwasher, washer and dryer in unit. Recently renovated apartments got the dishwasher but still wouldn't suggest move-in here. HVAC is joke, it doesn't blow heat during winters. whenever temperature drops below 30 F outside, it doesn't work at all. During winters we got the bill over 300$ from a utility provider towards gas and electricity. Overflowing toilets bad sewer lines. wouldn't suggest to move-in here. Neighbors are pretty rude; they won't even say Hi.
I have lived here for almost three years. Updated apartment when I moved in; new windows, fresh paint, fresh floors - great place. They are the best in clearing the snow along the walkways and the parking lots. No assigned parking so it's first come first serve - that's the only downside.
