The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Normandy Terrace Apartments
These apartments are in a great area. They are pet friendly. They are insanely spacious. When I did my walk through I found a couple small issues with the disposal and dishwasher and let the office staff know and within 24 hours they had set up a time for the two issues to be resolved. The office staff is always friendly and attentive when I have questions or when I just simply stop in to pay my rent. So far, I have enjoyed living at Normandy Terrace and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment space.
Terrible place to live. Gave them 500 dollar pet deposit and they told my new apartment that the carpet was bad. Isn’t what the deposit is for?? to fix it. We also had black mold in one of our bathrooms. They painted over it. We had mice and ant problems because of the holes by the floor. Office staff was always rude and incompetent. They lost half of our rent so we had to pay double. The pool was closed for a whole summer and the roof has been getting replaced for the last two years. very ran down complex.
If you like your brand new car keyed, your other new car's tire slashed, and being told there's been a history of vandalism with a shrug, live here! You'd think they'd maybe set up some cameras, but nah. Sorry 'bout your car and the $2500 in damages done to it by the trashy residents who seem to dislike when people have nice things. Pool was closed an entire summer without a peep from staff informing its paying residents there would be zero use of it all summer despite being charged rent for it. Also apprently $550 in deposits doesn't cover the "damages" and repairs when you move out. Considering the state of the apartments, I find that hard to believe. The carpets are cheap and I assume need to be replaced with each new resident, but they'll charge you anyway. Entire building's hall smelled like a combo of dead bodies and depression. Glad to be out of that dump.
I'd really give it a 2.5 star rating. Can't justify a 3 but 2 seems a bit low. If you're trying to get established, or need a place and don't have a lot of options, Normandy Terrace is...OK. Pros: - pet-friendly - price for size of unit is a very good deal - friendly management & office staff - GREAT about accepting packages at office! - lots of green space - currently updating exterior of some units - pool (but it's currently under construction and closed) - convenient location (next to HyVee, very close to both Valley West area and Jordan Creek) Cons: - not very responsive maintenance. My AC has been out 3 times now in the last 2 weeks because of construction on the roof. When I called after hours maintenance, it definitely wasn't a priority to them (and it's been 90 degrees out!). - I'm on the bottom floor and have had 2 pretty significant water damage issues from upstairs neighbors in the year I have lived here. One, the disposal backed up and flooded my apartment while I was on vacation. The other, water had settled in my kitchen ceiling from my upstairs neighbors and was running into my kitchen. Both times I was VERY inconvenienced and other than sucking up the water and repairing the ceiling, they didn't do anything. - parking has a LOT of potholes and is often crowded - sometimes run out of hot water (water is shared in the building) - Very OLD cable connections. I've had internet issues living here because the cable used in these buildings is old and wasn't made to handle things like high speed internet. It is a semi-rigid cable, ok for TV, but thinner than most coaxial cables for internet use.
Not only is the apartment complex in a great spot, it has some of the greatest management you will come across in a complex. Management has been so nice over the past year. The apartments are very spacious with plenty of storage. Neighbors are quiet. Tons of green space throughout the complex. Maintenance has always been on the ball to fix any issues I've had. This truly is a fantastic place to live, I know I am going to miss it a lot. I also know that if you decide to live here that you're not going to regret it. Price, for the size, is a really great added bonus. 5 stars across the board.
My apartment is very large and the property is well kept. These are apartment homes and sometimes other tenants forget this has children and it allows dogs. Therefore you will have kids noise as well as a bark or two the same as in any neighborhood. I would discourage those who want complete quiet to not live here. It is hard to keep kids silent and a dog to not play. Perhaps it would have been better to have non-pet apartment buildings for those who are used to dogs.
I've lived here three years. The rent is very fair. Spacious apartments with attentive staff. I love it here. The parking lot has a lot of pot holes though.
