Mountain View at Rivergreen Apartments

Been here for almost three years and never are rules followed. People smoke where they want, no one picks up their dog poop, people always slam doors and I can go on. When called to complain they simply write a "reminder" in their monthly letter, but never actually do anything. Walls are also very thin, I always hear my neighbor snoring above me. Never a quiet moment.

This place is going through some changes and it really is sprucing up the place, new light posts, new awnings etc, really becoming a beautiful place to live.

I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone. When we first moved in, everything was great and management was friendly so I left them a good review. About six months later they were moody and rude. I went in numerous times to talk to them about black mold and they said not to worry because it wasn’t the kind that would make us sick. They said it is in all of the apartments. We were sick the entire time we were there. When we gave our 30 day notice they said they wanted to do a walk through to assess what would need repaired after we moved. After that walk through they said it would be about $300 off our deposit. Nothing to worry about. I told them the reviews online say that they often take people’s deposits and they assured me that that doesn’t happen. Today I received a letter saying that they took all of our $1425 deposit. We had the house and carpets professionally cleaned before we left. We were never late on our rent. We also found out from the previous renter that the apartment we rented had flooded a couple times. Also they wouldn’t walk through the apartment with us after we had it cleaned and had moved. They said they would go in after we left to check the condition. Good thing we took pictures. There was also a rat that got into our storage and ate our tent after chewing a hole through the wall.

I have lived here for 2.5 years and have had NO problems. Even through a management change I have found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Their prices are consistent with the rest of Corvallis housing. I love being right by the Willamette River and walking path, along with being able to use the playground across the street from the complex. It is a great place to live.

New managers for 2018 are increasing rents for all monthly/yearly leases by drastic amounts causing renters leaving by growing numbers, a support staffs growing attitude/rudeness to renters, a maintenance staff with growing vacancies/pressures by management to make them available, even when left vacant because of new increases/attitude to contend with.

New management changed the friendly community of this apartment complex to "The Shareholders need more Money", to increase profits at the expense of Health, Safety, and Fairness. Apartments are now going vacant because of increased rent levels, laziness of staff, the limiting attitude to social events allowed in previous years.
