Nice Apartments The other day we toured the apartments and both Melissa and (I think Megan is her name, the manager) were both amazing. They were thorough and explained how everything works so we could get the best deal for us. We’re looking forward to moving in.

If you are looking for a safe, clean, well lit, dog friendly apartment, then look no further. The amenities are nice too. Myles and Mark are quick to respond to Maintenance requests and the Cleaning Team does a good job. I have to disagree with some of the other reviews. It is not Management's job to supervise the children or clean up dog excrement. It is the responsibility of the residents to be respectful to each other. We are living in an apartment with families and pets so things will not be perfect. Overall, it is a great place to live and you do get what you pay for.

My husband and I lived in a studio, very spacious for studio apartments and it’s nice to have your own washer and dryer. Lots of kids living here though, no parental supervision. Living right above community room and next to the yoga studio has caused us to have to ask them to quiet down multiple times. Our biggest complaint is the community areas not being used properly. However the residents here are all very nice. Very dog friendly and the people working here are also very welcoming. Every time our lease was up and needing to be resigned the rent went up significantly and it’s finally caused us to want to move. It’s been a positive experience and the apartments are very luxury and nice. Great area close to Target and Walmart! Upon move in the apartment wasn’t spotless from the last resident and there was still some dirty areas but it was to be expected I just suggest writing every single little thing down on the move in inspection each new resident fills out. Great apartment but if dogs and kids are a big annoyance for you, you may want to keep looking!

Day 1::Unit NOT clean/free from damage-3 friends & I spent "6" hours cleaning (carpet stains/frig inside shelf doors broken/appliances & cupboards surface damaged). Deceptive “Smoke-Free Complex” Advertising-as smoking “IS” allowed "Directly" outside my living/bdrm windows-“billowing” into my unit-therefore I can "NEVER" open my windows/LUNGS-Thoracotomy. My 1st week-lobby decor was broken. A woman several times has parked in my assigned underground space. Management leaves "UNSEALED Confidential" correspondence (personal lease fugures) in door jams for anyone to read-Inappropriate. The screen door/frame is damaged (a year now) I asked for repairs to be done after winter salt/sand has been swept from the parking lot/underground garages-it is July & has yet to be done. The snow removal company blew the snow from common sidewalks (of which dogs had peed onto) “literally INTO" into my patio/bdrm window screens. I asked MC to clean the screens-this has not been done. Poor construction of complex-my wing has significant issues. The hot water valve above the laundry room was not sealed properly & leaked onto my belongings thru the ceiling soffet & The valve for water flow to heat my unit is not functioning and has to be manually turned on & off by maintenance (To repair this...the sheetrock has to be sliced into & a portion of the wall removed). Day 1: my vacuum kept blowing the circuit breakers-the outlets do NOT handle what Most outlets do (had to buy a new vacuum). You are limited to what you can have plugged into kitchen outlets-fuses blow. H2O is quite hard-a white residue builds up on the faucets/countertop around faucets/sink basin-I have contracted for my drinking water. Children ride their bikes/roller blade/dispose of their trash throughout the halls (shouting/NO parental supervision). Trash (containers/bottles/cans/etc. -are left throughout the complex-interior & exterior)”BIG problem”. Cigarette Butts/Dog Pooh have been left/discarded on or quite near my cement patio slab area. In the underground garages-persons were caught discharging the fire extinguishers-Vehicles could have been damaged !! NO CAMERAS!! Not enough staff to sufficiently maintain the property. The Grounds are HORRIFIC! Rents are exorbitant as Monticello is a “Rural” Community & the building common areas are not well maintained (inside & out). Residents here “DO NOT SHOW RESPECT" to one another OR the Property-NO lease Enforcement.
