The neighborhood borders Mission Trails Regional Park, which sits on the east side of Tierrasanta. This vast park covers 7,220 acres and has an impressive 60 miles of walking trails. It also contains Mission Trails Golf Course, Old Mission Dam, campgrounds, and Hollis Lake.
Tierrasanta provides cozy, tree-lined streets, a variety of canyons, and gentle hills with terrific views. The neighborhood has a fascinating history, dating back to the late 1700s when it was part of the Mission San Diego de Alcala ranch. Several famous people claim Tierrasanta home, including skateboarder Tony Hawk and Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez.
