Sunbow is a small upscale neighborhood about 15 miles from Downtown San Diego. The neighborhood is best known for being home to Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, one of Chula Vista’s largest employers. I've had a great experience living in this apartment complex. The grounds are well-maintained, and the staff is always courteous and responsive. Despite some residents not picking up after their dogs—which can be frustrating—the maintenance team does a fantastic job keeping the property as clean and pleasant as possible. I especially want to recognize the maintenance crew—they’re truly outstanding. Every time I’ve submitted a request, they’ve responded quickly, worked efficiently, and handled repairs with professionalism and care. Special thanks to David and his team for consistently going above and beyond. Their hard work really makes a difference!

MIssion's at Sunbow is a wonderful place to live, almost like living at a resort. Nice and professional staff, clean grounds, nice swimming pool and a gym. Units are very nice and very well maintained. Definitely will recommend this property to any friends that may be looking for a new home

I just moved in but this place is amazing, I was looking for a new apartment for few months and I tour a few around the area and Missions at Sunbow was by far the best option when it comes to location, accessibility, price, amenities, the application and entire process was really easy, the team is great with providing information and resolving issues. I highly recommend Missions at Sunbow to anyone who is considering. I’ve already recommended a few friends and family to apply here as the complex is very well taken care of, the amenities are amazing, and the leasing team was very professional and helpful during the application and move in process. The apartments are super spacious and have tons of storage, which was a must have on our list while touring apartments.

So many spiders constantly and I don’t think they have the outside treated “every Friday” like the leasing office claimed, I’ve had issues with my garage door opener but when I ask for a replacement maintenance just tells me that it’s working fine but remains finicky, the outside isn’t cleaned well of spider webs or the street swept, and I’ve been over a year since they claimed the pool furniture would be replaced as they’re a disgusting old and rusted brown.

I only been leaving here for a couple of months now and i love it here, the only thing is the guest parking is not the greatest when we have guest over it could be challenging to find street parking. other than that, I love living here and the office staff and Maintenace team are great.

My girlfriend and I were driving by Missions at Sunbow for over a year dreaming of moving in together to a place like this. Once we got in, it has been everything we’ve imagined. The place upon arrival was cleaned almost brand new. The appliances although not brand new are still in great working condition and look just as nice as well. From Maintenance to Trash pick up and even the great staff in the office! Everyone is so kind and so helpful. I’m so glad we picked this place to live. We toured this place and knew this is where we wanted to be. It’s got an amazing community where you will feel safe to take a walk around at any time of day!! Everyone you see is so friendly as well. I would recommend Missions at Sunbow to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe, friendly, and fun place to live in.

A beautiful place for the eyes and plenty of greenery, the apartments have allot of natural lighting and it's like 5 minutes from a walmart/Costco and parking is pretty nice. I can't speak upon how the 2-3 bedrooms are but as for my 1 bed room apartment it feels so spacious and cozy at the same time, the bed room might look small but it's big enough to fit a king bed and then some. The bathroom is absolutely big and super relaxing, has a bathtub big enough to take a bubble bath relax lay down or lay on your side while watching netflix. The community here such as staff are kind and outstanding workers, everyday I run into one of them weather it be the landscaper general cleaner or trash person, they are all kind and hard working. The place is overall quite with the exception of some having pets.

Very nice amenities and great floor plans. I can only speak fir the unit I leased, without seeing first, but the appliances are very dated and not well maintained, they definitely show wear and tear.

Too expensive maintenance will not pay for anything you have to pay for a lot of replacements to your home. I don't recommend it. The only thing they have here going is the Beautiful pool and the gym

Lived in these apartments back in 2019-2021. I loved living here back then and I feel the same now. Although my unit has alot of wear and tare. I would also like to note that some appliances need to be replaced.

Mission at Sunbow is beautiful, the amenities are Resort like and kept clean The apartment is unique and roomy. I love the crown moldings and the apartment design.

Several years ago I rented an appartient at Missions at Sunbow Apartments and enjoyed living there for two years and then I relocated out of the country. I decided to move back to San Diego and I chose to come back here because the apartment complex is beautiful, kept very clean and the staff is very friendly and available for any needs you may have. Sharon and Ciara helped me finding my apartment while I was abroad. They were very helpful.

My overall experience living here has been both up and down. I find that I need maintenance in my apartment more often than the average person would expect. Obviously, parking is a very big issue and downside of living here. There are also problems with packages being delivered, stolen, etc. because of the open gates and lack of motivation by delivery drivers (yes, I understand that what the delivery drivers do is out of your control). I wish the gym had more equipment, particularly dumbbells/free weights. Finally, I have gotten to know the staff pretty well and they are all very kind and helpful. I also enjoy the community events and food trucks that are offered.

I've lived here for 3 years and I have only good things to say about living here. Ciara in the office was excellent help and got my niece the help she needed to move in immediately. The maintenance team are always friendly and are willing to help with on the spot needs. The grounds are always in excellent condition with a beautiful pool and entertainment area. I have recommended Missions at Sunbow to my friends and had a couple of them already moving in their own beautiful apartment. The only thing I wished they had, was more parking for guests.

My overall experience with Sunbow has been great! I love the timely manner that things get fixed/replaced, but I think we as a community need to come together and respect other people space considering how close quarters we are together. I feel that people are respectful for the most part… But there is a chosen few bad apples… That feel they do not have to pick up after themselves or their pets.
I love the apartment I have but the lack of noise prevention is very apparent. I can hear every step my upstairs neighbors take, every conversation had around my apartment and every door that closes. For the amount I pay for rent every month i'd expect some kind of quality and i'm counting down the days until i'm far far away from this place.
I’ve been living @ Sunbow for approximately three years and I am very satisfied with the management group here and the entire group of maintenance and Groundskeeping.
I have lived here for about 13 years.This has always been a nice community to live in.Hanz and his staff are all very nice.
The apartment complex looked clean and spacious. The leasing professional was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and even make helpful suggestions to us.

Wouldn?t recommend for the price. Rent has skyrocketed and there are extra charges for the pool table.

I used to always recommend people to live her but after dealing with Hans I don?t want them to experience that! Also when we moved in it was a ?gated? place! We have been hearing that the tech for the gates is on back order for the past almost 3 years. Sooo it?s not gated it?s a lie! The pool heater never works another lie, the jacuzzis Jets rarely are working another lie, the grilling area is at times super dirty. Luckily we rarely use these amenities but when we do we always experience something bad, sucks since we pay a lot of money for amenities that?s are either not provided or they haven?t worked for a while which to me is the same as not provided. Soooo it kinda seems weird that my rent keeps increasing but my amenities don?t get fixed!
I have had a constant issue with noise since moving in. I am not sure what it is and why I can hear my neighbors as if they were in my apartment, which makes it difficult to sleep or work from home. I had 3 different families move in since I have moved in about 1.5 years ago, so I can not say it is the neighbors. I believe it may just be the location of my apartment or a structure issue, nevertheless this has made my experience here less than pleasing.
The only thing I think that needs improvement is the fitness center. Plenty of machines and treadmills but the lack of free weights is my only complaint.

Very comfortable and well kept all around. I feel very comfortable and safe.
Since I never owned a dog I was never happy with dogs poop everywhere including the sidewalk. (Better clean ups daily) Maintenance always seemed like they didn't know what they were doing to a point I asked one of my friends to help them fix things and they always left a mess behind. (Find people that know what they are doing) I was there for I think five year and it took four years to just get the paint color so I could do touch ups as needed by then I was over it. (Find a neutral color or give sample of paint when people renewal there lease) When first moved in I loved the staff and as time went by I felt like everyone I spoke to just wasn't sure what they were doing.
The entrance gates are open all the time. No security.
This apartment complex is quiet, and beautiful. Amenities are great, especially when I learned that your trash is taken for you 3 times a week.
