Boyds-Leslie Park is a small neighborhood between Montgomery Boulevard and Katson Avenue North East. Most of the neighborhood is residential with affordable apartments for rent in a variety of styles. Although there isn’t much opportunity for shopping and dining in Boyds-Leslie Park, the neighborhood sits a few minutes west of Albuquerque’s commercial district, so residents have access to just about anything they could want or need. Places like Montgomery Plaza, an amusement park, countless restaurants serving almost every cuisine, department stores, a movie theater, and more are located in this area. For a break from retail, residents journey immediately north of town to enjoy Arroyo del Oso Park, a golf course, and hiking trails.

Dirty hall ways. Glass doors aren’t cleaned correctly. Steps up to the apt building need to be swept or use a blower to clean the steps. They are very dirty and dangerous. Broken cement steps. Tenants use their patios for storage, notice came out patios are not to be used for storage, though it has not been enforced

Love my apartment and the area, convenient to everything Raleigh Cary Durham. The pool and staff are always helpful, Bekah is amazing. It’s a peaceful and serene place. My opinion is that it doesn’t seem to be insulated for sound transfer. I can hear everything and everyone coming and going. My A/C serves as white noise and once the trees are mature enough to buffer sound. The trash valet is a great feature. The pool is gorgeous and there’s a lot of lovely people here.

It’s an ok place to live, nothing really special. I feel that you really don’t get much for how much you pay every month. Old appliances, no washer or dryers, apartment interior is pretty dated, and also the interior hallways and stairs of the apartment buildings rarely get cleaned, they’ll stay dirty for awhile. There’s really no system to how you pick up your packages, just have to go to front office and hope it’s there. The only good thing is really the gym, maybe the pool is decent, and the front office staff are pretty cool. But besides that I just feel like the amount I pay for rent is crazy compared to what I get.

I lived here for a year and it has been the worst place I have ever lived. Maintenance does not move quickly. Most of our fixes took months to complete, and some were never completed before we moved out. The facilities are being renovated, and are somehow very unclean. There are roaches. There is dog poop. Management does not care, nor will they take care of any problems happening at the complex. I have seen them ignore phone calls from residents. They couldn’t keep the pool open for more than a month before they had to shut it down again. There are hidden fees. The service charge for paying rent cost us anywhere from an extra 35-65 dollars a month. There are also lots of homeless people who now sleep in the ally in the back parking lot. Do not live here, you will regret it.

After 6 months of looking at small overpriced apartments, I then found Milo. The amount of space you get is way more than what most complexs offer. Also the location is fantastic, Smiths, Albertons, Sprouts, and tons of restaurants near by. I have had a couple of small issues that maintenance addressed and fixed quickly. And for those folks who posted reviews about roaches, I have never seen a roach in or outside of my apartmwnt or building. Keep up the great work Milo staff and I will continue to stay with you.

This will be the start of my second year living here and I've really enjoyed it so far. The renovations they've done are wonderful and the prices are very good compared to a lot of other places. The staff are kind, helpful, and respond quickly to any needs of the residents. Looking through other reviews on here, from what I've noticed, all of those things have improved greatly since they've changed management and owners. I feel like some of the problems are things you would deal with anywhere else and sometimes what people fail to understand is complexes are waiting on other companies to be available to come out and do certain repair jobs, etc. Making certain things a little bit out of their control. Honestly, if I had any complaints I would unfortunately have to say it's some of the residents themselves because they're apparently too lazy, entitled, and inconsiderate of their neighbors and community to pick up their dog poop. All in all, I've enjoyed it and I would recommend living here.

This property charges quite a bit but has fix times on issues in excess of three weeks. This includes problems with doors, plumbing or electrical. They rarely acknowledge that they even got repair orders. Additionally the contracts include a particularly weird clause stating you have to give 60 days notice that you will not be renewing your lease or they charge you are charged quite a bit of money. This is contrary to a standard lease, where you have to declare your intent to renew or the lease is simply cancelled. It comes across as profiteering. Plus the apartment walls are thin, they only have one washer and drier per building (great right?) and the kitchens are tiny. They do not water the foliage and there is no grass to be heard of. If you want to have a decent place to live, go literally anywhere else.

Lived in a one bed/one bath apartment here for 2 years. The place was decent enough. Roaches were a big issue but thankfully I lived on the top floor and didn't see too many. Maintenance was extremely fast sometimes, and sometimes took several weeks to show up. First night in the apartment there was a gas leak that I had to BEG maintenance to come check out, and when they finally showed up they said I was "lucky to wake up". But regardless, I stayed for 2 years with relatively few issues. I was finally able to buy a home and was ready to move out. I cleaned the place from top to bottom and moved out prior to my scheduled move out day. The lease stated that the deposit would be returned "within 30 days of moveout". Well, 30 days rolled along I had not heard anything. After calling and leaving messages for several days I finally spoke to someone who told me that I would be getting the full amount of my deposit back. However, they took out a portion to pay the last months utility bills, which is fine but was never cleared by me. I spent the next week calling between the leasing office and the accounts payable office, which has nothing to due with returning deposits, in case the leasing office tells you the same lie they told me. I finally got one check for $150 out of the $550 I was owed, and no one could tell me why that mistake was made or who made it. Had to call more, only to have them start ignoring my phone calls, to finally get them to send the check for my remaining deposit. Incredible unprofessional and clueless when it comes to move out. Some of the girls tried their best to help, but still had no clue where my check was coming from. It took two months after I moved out to finally have my deposit in hand. Good luck to anyone deciding to rent here, just hope you don't have any issues because you won't receive any help. This place wants to keep all the money they can from you.

I recently moved into Milo, I had opted for the Madrid floor plan. I had not scheduled an apartment tour, so I did not know how everything looked like. When I arrived, I did not like it and I asked if an upgrade was available. Sharon was very accommodating and provided me with a better apartment. I found the rent to be reasonable. The new apartment was not move-in ready, so it did have a couple of issues, which Sharon has been working on with the maintenance team within a short timeframe - all I had to do was fill in and submit the inventory condition form after move in. Lots of open parking spots available and covered spots available upon request. The locality is also great - tons of great restaurants, Walmart, Target, Costco nearby. Sharon and Kayla are very professional and friendly and they have made my move much easier. I would recommend Milo to anyone searching for apartments in Albuquerque.

The apartments are sold as being in the process of being renovated but basic building maintenance is neglected. Trash pickup is irregular and the dumpster is regularly overflowing.

I lived at Milo from 2020 - 2022 and considered it the ultimate ABQ experience, went hiking every other weekend in the Sandia Mountains, went to Top Golf once a week around the corner, and went thrifting in old town nearby. The community felt very safe, staff was always available and friendly, and the grass in between buildings was perfect for my dog to run around, he made many friends and even ended up having puppies with another residents dog! beautiful memories made here, highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in ABQ

There are roaches everywhere. They claimed "when it's hot out the roaches come out, they'll go away when it starts to get cold. I lived on the second floor and there were still roaches everywhere. Coming through the floorboards in the kitchen and bathroom. Spraying through the day won't do anything when the roaches are clearly away during the day and as soon as it starts to get dark, they all come out. This place is disgusting!

This place is crawling with roaches. The worst apartment complex I've ever lived. Roaches all over crawling in the buildings and the cement stairs, the parking lot and the sidewalk all the way up to your apartment doors. It's disgusting and one of the workers in the office said "well it is summer, so the roaches are out" Don't live here!!!!!!! Find somewhere else. These are way overpriced now.

They don't return phone calls, management doesn't care about off leash dogs, most of the property is weeds dog poop and dirt. Roaches rule the place and you are just expected to deal with it. Maintenance doesn't care about the property. You can hear everything your neighbors do. I lived here for ten years and every year it got worse. The best day was the day I moved. Really don't rent here.

Not much vetting when it comes the people that live here. Lot of drugs in and out. Renovations are ok but the building is old and you can hear everything.

Living by 2nd drug dealer in a row, management is not helpful, and rent fluctuates with many hidden fees. There is only ONE washer/dryer per building, so good luck competing to wash your clothes with everyone in the building and there is a roach infestation. A robbery occurred where a woman was held at gun point, while the same man had robbed several other people in the past, so much for having security because they don't watch buildings or prevent crime, they just put stickers on cars with old registration tags. This place is more headache then its worth. The only plus is that the apartment is big and the pool is decent.
I have been here for 2 years. The grounds are beautiful. There is a ton of grass and the flowers and trees make this property shine. I haven't seen a lot of grass at complexes, so this is nice to have. My kids love the pool because it goes to 10 ft. They are little fishes! The apartments are spacious and we have plenty room for my growing girls. I couldn't be happier. Had some minor maintenance issues, but they were fixed right away. I love my neighbors. I have made some good friends here!
This is a fantastic place to live. It is a short walk to 2 bus routs that run very regularly and also a short walk to shopping. The management is very friendly and is on top of issues that are brought to their attention in person, phone not so much but they are great.
When we moved in to Monterra apartments, management was very nice and inviting. Outside the apartment and landscaped were clean and kept well. Our apartment was renovated. New carpet, wood floors, paint and new appliances. Everything inside was nice beside the fact that there was a a good amount of roaches behind the fridge and dish washer. After notifying managment, they sent an exterminator with in that week to spray. After a week pest control came back to bate the apartments and complex. Since then i have notice no roaches in our apartment. Ameneties are great and now i enjoy my new home.
Need more lighting and maybe a better parking area for everyone maybe more things for the tenants to do maybe basketball goals or even tennis.
