Memorial Park gets its name from the sizable recreational space on the neighborhood’s east side. The namesake park is the area’s most alluring feature, and along with Peachtree Creek, they give Memorial Park a tranquil, vibrant atmosphere in line with Atlanta’s reputation as a “city in a forest.”
Like Collier Hills and the rest of the surrounding area, Memorial Park positions charming homes and apartments amongst rolling hills and lush greenery. Children and adults alike enjoy access to Atlanta’s third-largest park, and the Atlanta BeltLine. This convenient locale is just minutes from Midtown and the rest of Buckhead thanks to Northside Dr. NW and the Downtown Connector.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Millworks
I lived here for a few years and it’s gone down completely. The communication and professionalism and the lack of care has gone down tremendously. Water pressure in my apartment has decreased and no communication has been given or explained (just one issue) . Office staff always have an attitude and never friendly or knowledgeable on any questions or issues. The biggest reason I chose not to renew was the lack of professionalism, communication and care. I haven’t even touched on the issues of the property such as the cleanliness of the hallways, garage and pool.

We are sorry to see that you are not satisfied with our community. Will you please reach out to the leasing office so we can work towards a resolution? Thank you,
Lol. Listen. Millworks was amazing when I first moved there. It was a brand new building and everything was new and renovated and the people and staff reflected that. Some time around 2021/2022 everything changed, and it still hasn't rebounded. The gates were constantly broken. People would get in and break into cars, they'd break into homes, there was even once someone with an assault rifle in the hallways. Like what? The inside of the apartment was not bad except for the super thin walls where you can hear everything. I've heard domestic violence, gun shots, and several fights all from my couch. Everything is pretty renovated and the location is great, but at some point they just stopped caring or stopped being able to manage the environment of the property. And to top it off, the rent kept increasing and increasing all while not reflecting the value of the experience. Obviously I left because enough was enough, and they still didn't even return my full deposit even though I cleaned the unit and had an agreement with Lucas (because my awful experience was well known). I'm happy to wash my hands with Millworks and be done with them. Also, almost every unit on my floor had a Ring camera to capture what was happening outside. That should mean something.

I agree with other reviewers that the location is the only positive thing here at this point. It's a completely different community from when I moved in almost 4 years ago. It used to be great when it was brand new, but now it's dirty, dingy, and ROACH INFESTED! I think we've switched management at least 4 times at this point and it's only gone downhill. I wish I would have realized before I re-signed my lease. Being at home 24/7 during COVID-19 and hearing my friend's personal stories about living here really made me realize how much this property has gone down. Pay a little more to live closer to Midtown proper. It will be worth it.
This place has changed management like 3 times since we first started living here about 2.5 years ago. Leasing office staff used to be great and now you walk in and are met with attitude, missing deliveries, and an all around terrible vibe. The office staff changes like every 3 months. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything your neighbor is doing and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Noise complaints go unanswered. Phone calls go unanswered. Staff is not great at informing you of things going on in the community like someone being shot on the premises!!!! I would not recommend living here especially not for the price. The only good thing going for the community is the location, the maintenance team (who we adore), free parking, and the food trucks that come sometimes.
I am very disappointed with this complex. I moved in ~2 months ago and since day 1 I've had several issues with the experience. New management took over a day or two after I moved in. It took ~ a month and a half and upwards of 20 combined office visits, calls, surveys, and conversations with maintenance to have a fully functioning washer and dryer and decent enough warm bath water. At one point my bathroom sink had better water pressure than the tub. I sent videos and made several calls to the complex management. Several complaints about the maintenance issues eventually led to complaints about the new managements lack of communication. I'm not even sure why they have people fill out lengthy surveys regarding the maintenance experience, because I asked several times in my survey for someone from leadership to reach out and they never did. I even mentioned in my survey that I'd be posting a review of how these situations were handled because of my frustration and they never got back to me. Laughable. The only real fix that was offered by management, after two months of dealing with these issues, was for me to move at my expense and they'd waive the contract termination fee. There are several other issues: As others mentioned, the doors stop working regularly, which means you have to find a new way into the building. You have to hope someone left a piece of cardboard blocking a random door to get in. I've had this issue as recently as early this morning (6/4/19) on the 6th floor of the parking deck. Some reviews have also mentioned safety issues. Though the community is nice and feels safe it's my understanding there have been a few break-ins. Days after the complex posted warning people to lock there doors Maintenance came to my apartment, made no visible fixes and left my door unlocked when they left. They were apologetic, but this was still a very big concern. On a positive note, the facility looks nice and most of the community staff members are pleasant to speak with. Some of them have gone above and beyond to provide short term fixes to some of the issues, but leadership has done very little to address these concerns outside of telling me I'm free to move. Again... very disappointed.

I look forward to the opportunity to turn your experience around and ensure you are happy to call Millworks home.
My apartment was broken into (front door busted in, frame off the wall) during a period when the parking deck gate was broken and the deck was open to strangers; this issue does not happen infrequently and there is no added security when this does happen. Because the incident aligned so perfectly with this breach in security/gate issue, the management did not inform other tenants of the incident and swept it under the rug. Instead, they sent a generic 'safety tips' email, which makes me concerned as I have received several during my stay here (and I was informed they indicate crime incidents on site, even if they don't specifically say it). They did not intervene after the incident either by fixing the gate in a timely manner or providing additional daytime security to monitor the entryway. They did nothing. The community director also did not care to follow up with me until several days later, and only did so after I personally requested to speak with him. This is very poor management who prefers to save their own behind at the expense of risking the safety and wellbeing of their tenants. The way they handled this incident says a lot about the upper management in general. Please avoid this place. I have plenty of other reasons why including poor responsiveness to emails, loud pool music, etc. but I think this story speaks for itself. You will be happy you don't live here.

I am sorry about your experience with your apartment, as I do understand it is violating and unsettling. We care deeply about our residents and aim to provide the best in customer service and quality. If you would like to continue to discuss your concerns with us further, we are more than happy to help. Thank you. – Marlin McCord, Community Director
When I moved in a year ago, staff and service was great. Now, not so much. 3 property managers and 4 sets of new leasing agents later, things seem to be getting worse. You have to constantly follow up with requests. Customer service in the leasing office is in need of revamping. Leasing agents are rude and unprofessional. The residents leave trash throughout the property, which is left for days before anyone picks it up. Residents also allow their dogs to urinate and defecate all over the grounds. Apartment units are very nice, but customer service, management and maintenance are lacking. Especially after you sign your lease. It’s no surprise they are having a difficult time leasing the building to capacity. I hate I renewed, but certainly won’t make that mistake again.
This place is brand new! I did so much research in the West Midtown, Midtown and Atlantic Station area before moving here. After doing my research I found that Millworks had the best square footage for the price and amenities. My office is based in Atlantic Station so I wanted something close but heard West Midtown is an awesome place to live. Millworks is less than ten minutes away from everything Atlantic Station, Buckhead, Midtown, Highlands. The neighborhood is safe and quiet so I feel comfortable walking my dog alone at night. Millworks is also one of the only apartment complexes I had saw with a security guard on site at night. The road that Millworks is on is very quiet but you are so close to any store you want Kroger, Wal-Mart, Publix, TJ Max, the Food Truck Park. It is literally a $3 Uber pool ride to Atlantic Station or Midtown. Amenities: You can tell Millworks really paid very close attention to detail here and everything seems to be top of the line from the appliances to even the tile work. The pool, clubhouse and gym are all GORGEOUS so you literally feel like you are at a resort. One of my favorite features is the Nest thermostat because it tells me how much energy I am using and I can set it from work. I was moving to Atlanta from NY and had not had the opportunity to visit different apartments before hand. Millworks was the most accommodating out of all of the complexes. Out of the 10-15 apartments I inquired about Millworks was the only one to provide me with an actual Facetime tour of the actual apartment before hand which just made me feel even more comfortable making my decision. Nick was my leasing agent and made everything so easy and really made me feel comfortable. I spoke to Millworks via Facebook and phone and every time I had a question someone helped me. I had called in and someone would always get back to me right away. When I met everyone in the office for the first time everyone knew my name and really made me feel welcome! You can really tell that the team at Millworks works together and they have established a great culture here. I know there are so many apartments in Atlanta and it was so hard to narrow it down... but I really feel that Millworks is a great choice if you want to be close to everything and be in a safe, quiet neighborhood.
