The community is located 12 miles northeast of Albany, the lively state capital. Guilderland residents enjoy Albany’s metropolitan perks, including the New York State Museum, Washington Park, and the New York State Capital. The town is also near the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers. Nearby Interstates 90 and 87 make traveling in and out of Guilderland a breeze.
Guilderland is a residential area laced with historic charm. Numerous long-standing buildings in the community are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Outdoor enthusiasts have plenty of parks to choose from, but a local favorite is Tawasentha Park, with its ample hiking trails and nature walks. Guilderland has a small-town feel, especially with its community markets throughout the week.

Property Ratings at Mill Hollow Apartments
We relocated from Louisiana in July 2023. Our online search led us to check out Mill Hollow. We knew instantly this was what we were looking for since we were downsizing from over 2,000 square foot home to 1,400. Dennis was very helpful and accommodating to make the move as smooth as possible. Our new neighbors warmly greeted us. We love the location. Our dogs are thrilled with the new dog park. We are happy with "apartment" living that doesn't feel like apartment living.
We moved here last fall. Dennis, the property manager, has been very responsive and accommodating. The units are very modern and spacious. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The neighbors are very nice and it is quiet and relaxing. There are many nice amenities, including a new dog park. We are very happy here.
We rent unit 31 at Mill Hollow. The site is beautiful and cosy, but we had heard about management problems. So, last spring (2023) we quizzed the new site manager. He was aware that things had not been going well, and was working to improve response to renters requests. Since then we have found him and his staff to be quite friendly and helpful. There are still some rough spots resulting from Greyhill taking majority ownership; e.g. their lease signing process on the portal does not provide a paper copy for the renter. But, based on our experience thus far, we are confident that these things will be fixed.
The community is welcoming and safe, management is easy to work with, and we love all the pets! Highly recommend!
Very safe, quiet and clean environment. I have been a resident since 2018.
We have lived here for 5 months so far. Mill Hollow is very quiet and well maintained. Management and staff are attentive to the complex. Dennis does a great job and cares for every tenant and the complex like it was his own. We have dealt with Zach, Julio, Dennis and Scott and we couldn't be happier. Many thanks. Mike and Anna Marie
Apartments are spacious and modern with great amenities. Close to grocery stores and walking trails within the surrounding neighborhood. Neighbors are curious and friendly. Management does a great job of addressing any concerns on a timely basis and keeps the property in pristine condition.
Spacious 2 bedroom with great amenities. Great places for walking. Close to pharmacy, grocery and restaurants.
Mid-way through my 2nd year here. No complaints at all. Not many issues have come up during my stay, but whatever has management had promptly addressed and corrected.
I've been living in these apartments for about 2 1/2 year now. The community is nice and kept clean during all seasons. Management and maintenance have always been on point, friendly, and understanding. For the most part our neighbors are quiet and friendly. The quality of the apartments and the price are great for this area too!
