The maintenance staff is always so professional and helpful. They showed up fast after I submitted my maintenance request. They also provide the best solution to any problems that I’ve had. All the work is done properly the first time and they don’t take shortcuts. Which I appreciate because they take their time fixing things preventing a future maintenance request for the same issue. Overall every time I’ve had a maintenance problem they have provided excellent service and results.

Conveniently located very close to grocery and drug stores, other shops, a gas station and public library, also close to this area's grade schools and high schools. Good laundry facilities, and almost all units have either a private balcony or patio. Best of all, an apartment community that allows dogs and cats, but with restrictions on dog breeds.

Unreliable Office

When I first called the Milano office, I was told that they're offering 2-month leases. They also wrote on this website that they have 3-12 month with short term lease options available. I was skeptical at first because most of the apartments around the area have a 6-month minimum lease, but this is the only place that suited what I was looking for so I scheduled a tour. After arriving, the agent seemed unsure of the exact lease options. When we finished touring the place, she went to check the details and then told me that they are only offering 12-month leases. This is a colossal waste of time. If you're looking for housing here, don't blindly trust the information they put on websites or even through phone calls. A couple of things I've noticed from the tour: construction noise was loud near the street; building 4 elevator is broken; residents in studio apartments don't get parking and has to pay $100 a month for a spot; strong smell upon entering a room; lots of flying bugs at the entrance. Aside from these, the place looks presentable.

NOT SAFE

My car got broken into and property got stolen, this apartment complex isn't responsible for any theft. We moved during the pandemic in 2020, not once were we told that there's a possibility that mold can grow if we didn't keep areas dry. All this was ONLY mentioned when we were signing the lease, we were in a hurry to move in so we signed it and said what could possibly happen, we are clean guys. We were given a checklist during the move in process, they told us to inspect the apartment and to check off any problems we see, so we did...and here we are two years later without any fix. MOLD started coming out of the shower knobs, we've cut ourselves plenty of times, it looks as if the whole bathroom is rotting. This is already not safe and to then get things stolen out of my car at 8:00PM tops everything off. Don't expect to sleep in if it's your day off, gardening happens between 7-9AM. We also didn't know that this apartment complex is a school, some units are classes, were we told about this? No! If we did we wouldn't have moved in, the kids here are loud, past midnight you hear kids yelling, running in the hallways, just immature, if the trash shoot is full these kids leave their trash right out in the hallways...like really? They are currently under new management, don't be fooled by how the outside looks like or how dazzling they made their website look, it's what's inside that's terrible. Instead of fixing things they paint over the problem and say it is "fixed." I've spoken to the head of management at Milano recently regarding the theft that occurred, he didn't care. I told him I DO NOT feel safe here anymore, all he said was "I hope we change your mind before you decide to move out." I asked if he saw the garage cameras and he said "We saw nothing, the camera wasn't able to see that far." My space number is one of the 20's, now remember I said this parking garage holds over 100 cars...seems a little sketch to just have ONE camera. My safety comes first; mold is not safe, tripping and injuring my ankle because there's no light going down stairs is not safe, getting things stolen out of your car 20 minutes after getting home is NOT safe, I feel targeted and I no longer feel safe in this "gated" community. I do not trust anybody in this complex, nor management. They do not care about your safety, about your health(mold)...after all it's just a business, they just care about making money off of you.

UNBELIEVABLY DIFFICULT!!!!

This place was near impossible to view and set up a viewing. These other posters are accurate in their conveyances of the real property & management team. Upon inspection of the unit, I was equally disappointed by the size, quality, and upkeep of the unit. And to think they were asking for an above-market rate! It was a complete waste of time, and the property OWNER should reconsider the property MANAGER, and the rates of rent/salary paid each because THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!! RENT ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Bad First Experience

I had an appointment scheduled to view a unit and no one was at the leasing office. If this is how people are treated before signing anything, I'm afraid to ask how it is as a tenant.

LUXURY APARTMENTS? NOT!

Only been here for a year & can’t wait to move out. The only thing luxury about these apartments are the amenities. I shouldn’t be paying such a high price for my unit to be infested with roaches EVERYDAY. We constantly clean, spray bug spray, mop, sweep, and they still come back. Management hasn’t been any help with the issue either. Everything is so cheap from flooring, cabinets, appliances, & work orders from when we moved in never were fulfilled. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Leasing Agent was very unhelpful and rude

I called Milano looking to get some information on current leasing rates. I explained to the leasing agent how I understand there will be a range depending on when I planned on moving in. The lady proceeded to tell me 3 times that she couldn't get any more specific than a $500+ rental range. You really think the rent could possibly range $500 within a 1 month timespan? No chance. When I repeated that I understood there was a range, she rudely repeated the same exact thing she had previously said. She didn't listen nor care about my question. I'm grateful I got a taste of how the staff treats their clients before moving in here. Unbelievably rude, and unhelpful. Can't believe this rep is a "customer service" rep who is supposed to be attracting new tenants.

Roaches and termites

This was my first time experiencing roaches and termites in an apartment. The rent does not include water or utilities. The amenities are closed due to the pandemic but the rent increases.

Poorly maintained, weak cleaning services, lacking some basics

Day of move-in, found many very visible spots/stains in living room, dining, hallway, and bedroom carpet. If expected cleaning was already done and spots remained, carpet should have been replaced. Had mgr take a look. They commented that the minor stains did not warrant replacing carpet and most of spots/stains would be out of sight once my furniture arrived. Huh? Days went by, expected they come back to clean the spots/stains if they weren't going to replace carpet. Emailed, no response. Called back and spoke to mgr. They finally send someone a day later to clean spots, but only cleaned some spots in living room carpet. Spots still remain in dining and hallway carpet, and some spots in living room carpet cannot be remedied. Other issue - Water leaking into master bedroom. Nearby a gum stain in master bedroom carpet, we found wet carpet. Seems water leaking in from foundation or some crevice in outer wall at ground level. They mitigated by removing standing water outside building, but water is still leaking. They will probably need to apply seal to outer foundation/wall, but odds are they won't do the necessary. Other issue - 2 bdrm apartment comes with 1/2-size water heater. In my many years of renting, never came upon this. This water heater may barely support a studio apt, much less any apartment where 2 or more adults would live. Other amenities are nice, but apartment we were rented is worst I have ever experienced.

Milano Apartments

We got lucky when finding this apartment after just moving from Tucson Arizona. The location is within minuets from anything we would ever want, including walking distance to Redondo beach. The leasing consultants are extremely helpful and kind. The property is constantly maintained and the amenities make living here feel like living in a resort.
