Property Ratings at Miguel Place
We lived in this ELON MGMT.APT COMPLEX for two years. I am going to list issues: 1. Drug dealer moved in next door. Constant people knocking at our door so high they couldn't talk.Constant cars in and out. MGMT DID NOTHING. PCSO had to come out Neumerous times. 2. Apartments are old run down full of cockroaches. There are no dishwashers no pool no playground. Possible Mice. 3. Move in fees 50.00 application 150.00 to secure apt 15.00 month for insurance on bldg. 700.00 in misc fees. NONE OF THAT BEING SECURITY. YOU GET NOTHING BACK WHEN YOU MOVE OUT ! 4. Managers office is a revolving door. Never the same manager a few months there's a new one 5. If rent is one day late....100.00 fee. 10 days late...LEGAL EVICTION. 6. No insurance company will write apt ins or policy on bldg tenants pay as they called the complex a death trap. 7. Walls are so thin you can hear neighbors talking. Apts falling apart a/c units in apartments are so old don't cool so electric bill thru WREC Is astronomical. 8. Laundry room. Discusting, dirty Machines don't work well don't spin Dryers don't dry. Floor has an inch of crud. 9. Water bill...Everyone pays 50.00 per month for water. 2 of us no washer 50.00 some had 4 ppl in unit with washer 50.00 month for them too. 10 Mean nasty management. Constantly yelling at tenants won't get up and walk to end of complex. And no matter who manager is THEY LIE TO YOU. Absolutely the biggest mistake we EVER made. ELON is money hungry constant raising cost. Please find something else. FAIR WARNING.
I have been in contact with this place back-and-forth for my mother-in-law. I must say that the manager Antoinnette is absolutely amazing. She has been so helpful as well as very good with you know returning calls and getting back to us very quickly with everything. Very very happy !!!
The whole " you get what you pay for" saying totally applies to this property. Actually, I can't even say that, because the amount you pay for a one and two bedroom apartment is RIDICULOUS. At least for what Elon management has to offer for Miguel Place Apartments. Everything is outdated, the neighbors are complete whack jobs, and there are cats EVERYWHERE. I've actually had packages STOLEN from my front door step. I took a nap before work, got a text that my package has been delivered and dropped off, and nothing. I contact the post office, and they say it was delievered at my apartment. The scanner they use has a GPS, and indeed, shows it's been delievered in front of my "home". It's Port Richey, I don't expect the Taj Mahal. I do expect respectful neighbors, and the basics... like picking up after your dog has defecated. I can't say all of the neighbors are horrible, as there are a few little old ladies that live here, and walk their dogs. They are the exception. The upside is that water, sewer, and trash are all part of the rent. Pest control, LOL, is not. Keep your place clean, and bleach it up. The police are on the property at least twice a week, and the laundry facility is dirty. There's no pool or clubhouse on the property. The electric is through withlacoochee river electric, and we've never had an issue with them. It's a good place for college students on a Ramen noodle budget, or if you're low on luck and need a place quick. I, however, cannot wait for my lease to be up. I'd rather work crazy amounts of overtime and be able to afford something decent with you know, people who aren't complete a-holes, than live in this place. Lesson learned.
