Merritt Station Apartments

Me and my boyfriend are getting ready to move in and the leasing office has done such an amazing job to help us out! Such an easy process on our part because of them! We can’t wait to move in and enjoy the apartments as it is such a nice place!!!

Tour for apartments are self guided, which is a little weird and not explicitly stated anywhere. You tour a stage apartment and don't get to see the actual apartment your moving into. The hallways reeked of air freshener/chemicals and were quite dim. However, the complex is nestled in a little suburb which is quite nice and it seems like the complex is a little community.

This place is excellent. Me and my family have lived here going on 4 years I believe. Friendly staff. Maintenance does their job.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a month now and love it! The layout of our room is great with nice appliances and flooring/carpeting. We also had a smooth and easy application process. I cannot say enough nice things about the ladies in the office they were an exceptional help through everything!

Why? It’s quiet. The women in the leasing office are top tier!!! Always available. If you have a request or a maintenance issue someone responds almost immediately. The apartments are huge and well maintained. Close to shopping and major highways. It’s just beautiful here.

what can I say? This place is pretty great for my needs. My dog is happy as am I! The pool is great, clean and well managed. The hallways are always clean. Staff is friendly and seem very smart!

My boyfriend and I have lived here for 2 years and will be renewing our lease. The management office is WONDERFUL!!! Super helpful, kind, extremely responsive and go out of their way to make your experience as a resident pleasant. Every call to maintenance has been responded to, like person in the apartment, within an hour. Maintenance workers are employed by the Merritt Station so it is always a familiar face. It’s important to me that I felt safe as a female being here alone (at times) with maintenance. They are quick, professional and always fix the problem AND clean up from whatever they do super well! They are constantly making upgrades and do really well with maintaining the grounds. I have heard absolute horror stories from friends about their management and maintenance so I feel really lucky to have had the experience we have had here. I would absolutely recommend being a resident at Merritt Station Apartments!

I would give it 6 stars if I could. The manager Jackie and her staff are exemplary. The best part, they COMMUNICATE! Bravo

We love our perfect little place at Merritt. We were paying too dollar previously at another local apartment complex and didn’t receive half the service we do here.

My husband and I both were given job transfers which brought us to CT near the New Haven area. We came across Merritt Station on apts.com, booked a tour and liked what we toured. The amount of amenities you get for the price in the area is pretty great.

Merritt Station has been quiet with friendly neighbors. Management is great. The grounds are very green and pretty and we love the dog park!

My boyfriend and I love our unit. We have lived at Merritt Station since 2017 but recently transferred to a renovated two bedroom unit from a one bedroom and we love it. The grounds, the pool and management is excellent. We could not be happier and recommend Merritt to our friends and co workers!

We moved into Merritt Station last year and have enjoyed it! Our unit is a different layout then the usual. It is a townhouse with a huge walk in closet. My boyfriend and I love the unit, the grounds and the management. Very friendly and courteous.

I recently moved out to move out of state and I already miss it. The office and maintenance staff are fantastic! Quick to respond and very friendly. The apartment I lived it was a little outdated but it was comfortable and I always felt safe. The gym is small but it had a little bit of everything to get your workout done. Management does a great job keeping the property clean and organized. If I ever move back to CT I'm coming back to Merritt Station.

I moved in over Thanksgiving and got notified shortly thereafter that a new management company had purchased the place. I got a newsletter announcing they’d be doing monthly newsletters (they aren’t) and that they’d be cleaning out basement storage (they didn’t). The basements have been getting ripped apart, with no notice. Storage is still filled with filthy decades old trash and the basement laundry rooms were ripped apart (again no warning). Do yourself a favor and don’t rent here. Management has been saying for 3 weeks that construction will be done in 2 weeks and that they provided a heads up (apparently cleaning storage is the new way of saying “we’re ripping apart your hallway and your life will be negatively impacted for weeks with no warning or apology”

To make it short and sweet-If you have a problem they resolve it and do not band aid it.

My husband and I moved into the new building at Merritt Station about four months ago with our new puppy. Our experience has been fantastic from the very beginning. We weren't the easiest of clients as we were moving from out of state and had to make a decision based solely off of pictures and correspondence with Jackie, who was amazing. She was patient and understanding of our situation. . We are looking forward to making use of the nice swimming pool here and the great hiking trails in the area! Thanks, Alyssa

I have lived at Merritt Station for three years now and just happily signed my renewal. I have had no problems at this property thus far. I feel safe which is most important to me! My apartment is adorable, almost like a mini condo and my neighbors are friendly. This place also accepted my mid sized dog which I more than appreciated! I really like the gals in the office they are always smiling and helpful

I moved here in October and to be honest it has been nothing but enjoyable from the day I have signed my lease. Maintenance is quick and nice. The office staff is great. I finally found a place who would take my mid sized dog. So far, so good. I referred a co worker and received a pretty favorable amount off my lease too.

I have been here going on two years it and I only can say good things about the property and the property owners. I can't brag enough on how the staff here are always think about the residents first abd address any issues with delay.. Most of all living here feels like home to me Thank You...Keith

Very nice apartment layouts and I have found the maintenance is very friendly, yet I've had to contact them a lot. I really enjoyed living here until I discovered a few set backs. They raise your rent quite a bit each year and add in little details to your lease without telling you which always ends up costing more money. The main issue for me is mice and mold. I have heard tenants complain about mold in the bottom units and always see mold/mildew trucks outside my building. Mice live underneath and inside the buildings as well, they are always running to and from the dumpsters but I even had some inside my apartment building !! I really love the location of these apartments and I know that it is hard to find decent priced apartments to live in, so I wouldn't say that this place is awful. But I do warn you to look over EVERYTHING. I was okay with spending a little more money each year to live here but I was NOT okay with the mice.

I recently conducted a search in the New Haven County area looking for a new place to live. I searched extensively on at least a half dozen websites and came across Merritt Station. It quickly became one of my favorites and even after more searching, I couldn't find a place that matched the look/style, amenities and price. After touring a few of the units offered which I was immediately impressed by with a very friendly and courteous property staff member, I filled out a rental application, was approved the next day, and signed a lease all within 72 hours! I couldn't be happier with my decision to move here. The staff is more than welcoming, and each day I was at the leasing office, there were all sorts of maintenance, landscaping & pool facilities workers sprucing up the place even more than it already is. I am absolutely looking forward to moving here in the very near future. This place is definitely worth your time to schedule a tour and see for yourself.

Moved here in November and had a easy process and joy working with the leasing staff. If your place needs maintenance the staff so far has been there with in the hour. Enjoy seeing that the management company is upgrading everything within the grounds. Everyone that lives here seems friendly. Looking for to the summer and enjoying the pool.

This place sucks. I lived in the bigger buildings and they LOOKED nice but looks can be deceiving. I've never lived in a place with Cockaroaches but now I have that to say that I have. Embarrassing! I also had over 10 inspections. I took days off from work just to see what they were doing in my apartment. One time two teenage looking guys came in to do an ispection. I was happy I took that day off. I've never lived in an apartment that had one inspection let alone 10. Is the place that dirty?! The town had to come in a bunch of times too. Disgusting. So if you're thinking of moving here don't. Spend some extra money to live in Wallingford. It will be worth it.

The management at Merrit Station Apartments is friendly and accommodating. I have lived here for over 14 years now, and they are definitely the best owners this complex has had in that time. They have made, and are continuing to make, many upgrades and improvements to the complex. Energy-efficient lighting and plumbing have been installed in recent months. Any maintenance issues are handled promptly by their on-staff personnel. Upkeep is excellent. They have made efforts to ensure the quality of life of their tenants is the best they can make it.

Nice kitchen cabinets but very small kitchen with not a lot of drawer space . Nice and quiet neighborhood however expensive to rent .

just what he title states, overprices there should be a rent control I live in the state of Connecticut where your income is not enough to live comfortably what I pay for to compare with other apartment at that is awful is overpriced. I understand some people have it worse and I shouldn't complaint but I work hard I get up every day since I was 16 I have haven't stop working to support myself and I cant seem to jump over that hoop so that I can afford my own place that would most likely be comparable to what im paying for rent. is ashame and disgusting. I wish I owned my own place where I can have my own dog and decorate it the way I wanted it.

I have now been living here for a year and although there are a few things that I believe need some improvement it looks like the new management is trying their best. What I can say I don't appreciate is how they have raised my rent, which I get it everything is going up in price, but my apartment doesn't even have a door to the bedroom. I just think they are a bit over priced. But if you are looking for a safe and friendly place to live in an area like Meriden then this is the spot!

All the rent process was hassle free, the leasing agents and the manager awesome! the service level I received was and still beyond my expectations. my apartment is great completely remodeled from top to bottom, all is brand new. Great location 6 minutes form my work, quiet neighborhood.

Like any apartment, Merritt Station has it's pros and cons...but unfortunately the cons out-weigh the pros here. First, the office staff is extremely lazy. I requested a second copy of our mailbox key the first day we moved in because they only gave us one, and had to follow up 4 times in a month because they kept forgetting, and still have YET to receive it (been here 2 months). Also, their dog policy is awful, and they favor certain people about allowing certain breeds from their restricted list. Their weight restriction is also 40lbs...come on! We don't all want a dog that can fit in a purse. They also claim to be thermally sound, but air is constantly escaping. A personal problem is that we don't have a garbage disposal in our sink and we're the only ones on our floor without it, yet we pay a higher rent. Also very bothered that pool cannot be accessed independently. I pay a lot and should feel free to swim whenever...but it's locked 8pm-10am and is supervised by a worker. Understandable for children who may sneak in, but I still want the freedom to use when I please. Few pros include convenient location (right on Wallingford line, tons to do...and close to highway) and quiet neighborhood.

apartmentis falling apart and rug is gross. we ask for things to get fixed and they don't. have changed rent fir 1 year by $100 more and up. would not reccomend.
