The Meridian is not just an apartment complex. It's a place to call home. I have lived in many apartment complexes over the past 6 years and I have to say this is the best one yet. In apartments, you never quite feel like you're at home. At the Meridian, I feel that I am safe, lots of land and sidewalks for my dog and I to walk on, plenty of space to park, very clean and sanitary, quiet, and everyone is just so friendly! The management staff couldn't be any more accommodating. They are quick to help and answer any questions. They go above and beyond! I made a maintenance request and it was handled quickly with no hassle. On top of all that, you have every amenity that you could possibly ever ask for. The apartments themselves are very luxurious!

If you are looking for a safe, clean, quality place to live, this is NOT the place for you. Most of the staff do work hard, but the property management is terrible. At a glance, the place is nice. However, you will NOT get what you pay for. Andrew
Long story short... I don’t think I have ever seen an actual arrest until I moved here. The first week a woman was yelling and screaming outside of my apartment. Eventually arrested — mind you it was 1ish in the morning. If you live by the basketball court beware of loud music and kids hanging out after hours. Never plan holidays at your house because you ever know if there will be trash bags in the bags, broken glass on the sidewalk a mattress at the trash can or dog poop in the hallway— that was really funny explaining that as my guest arrived for Christmas dinnner. Then to top it off beware if you are a pet owner— even with an excellent pet. I have a fully potty trained dog. He hasn’t and will not poop in the house. He knows better. In addition, my dog is 8 pounds. Somehow this little fluffy dog apparently made pet stains to warrant an$425 new carpet. If you saw my house, and added on the fact sunnily lived there six months and had a maid you will wonder how this is possible. I almost feel scammed. I move frequently for work and This has never ever happened. In addition? I have been an homeowner so i would never ever allow a dog to use the bathroom In my house. I am Flabegested and disgusted. Have you ever had the I can’t believe someone just lied on me feeling—- that’s how I feel. I am not sure what this is about but I am reaching out to hills management to understand why i was charged $1000 when someone could have literally moved right into my apartment. I am so clean when I sold my house — the realtor came and put it on the market the same day the next day Inhad Multiple offers. Just driving home the point of how emmacage I keep my home which is why these charges are very offensive and I know are false. If it were true Inwould pay but now it’s about principal. So unless you want to fight move out battles and deal with bad management don’t live here.
While signing the lease it was great but while closing it was tricky. One of the staff members, I think her name is Lindsey did not let us cancel the notice when we wanted our lease to expire rather than cancel. We were under the impression we signed a 13 month lease but later figured out it was 12 months and we contacted within 2 days and she tricked my wife into believing it's already rented out. When I spoke to another staff a week later she confirmed it wasn't the case and it was signed only about 2 days before my inquiry. We payed twice as much to cancel and moved out only 2 weeks before lease expiring date.
I have lived in this complex for 1 year. The property is great, amenities are awesome and state of the art. We had just moved to Kentucky from Dallas, Texas and it definitely was a positive to know that you are coming home to a comfortable place, and it helped up get acclimated to the change of pace. Management is very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. And they have an awesome maintenance team, led by Aaron. Amenities include an awesome pool/deck/grill out area, up to date workout facility that includes a yoga/pilates space, tennis and basketball courts, kids play space, and it is pet friendly. If you are in the market for a new apartment you should definitely check out Meridian on Shelbyville!!
I have lived here for almost a year and have really enjoyed this community. The apartments have nice luxury features - wood flooring in some units, shag carpet, high ceilings, track lighting and granite counters in the kitchen. The company that manages the apartment does a good job at maintaining the landscaping and keeping the grounds clean. The staff are easy to contact, personable and maintenance requests are filled within a reasonable time period.
