What began as a resort getaway for the Low Country elite in the 19th century has blossomed into a thriving community on the outer edge of the Charleston area. This has been a great place to live. The office staff is always great! Very helpful with anything you need and helped with a smooth transition into a bigger apartment.
A lot of issues moving in that have needed and will still need fixed. Wished could have toured the apartment before moving in on our appointment date.

Great place very quiet and staff are very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is very quick to fix a problem that you might have. Still waiting on a handicap parking spot.

Great place to live. The new management has helped to clean out the dealers for the most part. They are super nice and helpful. I would like to see the trees and shrubbery near the fence near building 300 cleared out if possible.

Our office staff is amazing! They are very friendly, open, and willing to listen to everyone who comes in! Our maintenance guys are always on top of our apartment needs and repaired! Our neighborhood is quiet and if ever a problem arises, our emergency personnel are always very responsive!

I just signed my 2nd year lease, still very happy with the complex and the leasing office employees. Maintenance is prompt, any questions I have had were always answered promptly and respectfully. The rent did increase as expected but it was a very low increase and I was able to sign early. New to South Carolina and am happy to have found this place.

I love this property! I’m a very outdoorsy person and I love the trees!! The neighborhood in all is absolutely beautiful and my kids love the park. We also love the view of the lake and all the little animals it brings. There are so many cute squirrels running around.

I have recently moved to Summerville from Florida to be closer to family . I consider it my Lucky Day when I turned into Martins Creek Blvd to look at the apartments here. My Luck continued to increase when I went to the Office to inquire about availability and pricing of the units when I met Deserae, who provided all the information , a video of the unit I was interested in (it was being updated and painted so walk through was unavailable) The video provided more than enough information . Since it met all my needs , I began the approval process , and with a little help from the Office , was approved and began moving in later that week . Everyone I have met here , Staff and Neighbors have been very nice and I am Glad I was Lucky enough to find this Sherwood Forest Oasis off Old Trolly Road . I have had nothing but positive experiences the couple of times that I have actually needed to reach out to management. Minor issues bit they were handled in a good time frame with no further problems.
Love this complex so peaceful and quiet! Everyone is so nice even the people at the office! Our dog loves the long walks she can do now instead of the short walks she used to do!
For the most part, I'm pleased with my first month of living here. I suppose the only part that is not great, is the slow response to fix the few things in my apartment that I reported when I first moved in. I do realize, however, that this is a good size community and it takes time to get to everyone's complaints.
A very nice community and management team is always helpful and quick to handle things. I just wish the area was alot cleaner and people would stop leaving their trash(cigarette butts, bottles etc) in by vehicles.
Under the new management we have been having a much better time here at Martins Creek. I love the trees and set up of the Apartments and it is always so quiet here.
Management is horrendous and you can’t ever get in contact with them. If you go to the office to speak to them they have an attitude. Cars get broken into, shootings happen. They say we have “security” but was never seen. They leave notes on your doors instead communicating via email or text.I felt unsafe with other tenants and they ignored my concerns. Not worth it for the amount of money they want. “Renovated” apartments just have white paint over the cabinets and are missing spots. Just find another place to live because you’ll regret choosing here.
Always had a great experience with Martins Creek. The neighborhood is nice, safe and is nearby grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations etc. Front office is very patient, kind and understanding. Neighbors are polite as well. The pool has been a nice use during the summer and would definitely recommend this neighborhood to others
Everything about this place has been great so far! They are definitely older apartments, but it looks like everything is really well taken care of. We love the trees everywhere!
Everyone minds there’s business and it’s a quiet living environment for kids n adults. They have a gym a pool n play ground for everyone. My son loves the play ground and pool area. He cries to stay outside to play on the playground and the pool area.
great neighborhood and anything I need to fix maintenance is pretty good. The pool is always clean and the staff are pretty friendly and respectful.

Overall I like the community and apartment, it has washer and dryer which was something I definitely wanted, it’s pet friendly, rent is affordable, I just wish that my apartment came with a microwave.
I love how peaceful and quiet it is here. If there is an issue, maintenance responds in a timely manner. I also appreciate that the office accepts packages to ensure that they are kept safe until the owner has picked it up. The staff also keeps the residents up to date on the community happenings and does a great job of keeping us safe.
As a resident in a small community, you want to dwell safe. When we first moved in, we had no issues with any sort of violence, but in the last 3 to 4 months, it has seemed to increase with anything from shootings to break-ins of private property. My family was impacted by the shooting a few months ago with damage to personal property, and now, they have to drive around with bullet holes in their cars with no way to get it fixed. I do not feel safe here anymore
They respond to problems quickly however, problems occur about every 3 months. Pipes burst, water damage, ac issues. But overall, not a bad place to live
For the most part my experience here has been nice. Certain things such as issues within the apartment and the shooting right outside my door make me mark lower.
I love living here. It is quiet, neighbors are friendly. Quick access to the highway and only 20 minutes to my favorite beach. The office staff are very friendly.
I haven’t met many people yet. This is my second week being here and it’s honestly so amazing. I love the environment and the energy from my closet neighbors. I also love how kind and communicative the staff team is. By far one of the best neighborhoods I’ve ever experienced! Love LOVE LOVE!
