Great place to live staff is courteous response to issues quickly is clean and quiet,

When I learned about Madison Park Apts., I felt like I'd found the place of my dreams. Even though, I hadn't yet been able to finish my move of all of my things, I felt I could be comfortable there. Initially the only complaint I had was, a loud neighbor. However, by the 8th month here, I found that the warning a previous neighbor gave me in the second month here that, there truly are rodent's running through the apartment. When I reported it, I waited 2 days for pest control to come, pull out the stove and place a black box behind it. That night, 3 ran around my place from different locations. I made a frantic call to emergency maintenance. I got a call back saying, "this is not an emergency issue". I advised him I am terribly afraid of mice, I was traumatized by them as a child living with my grandfather. Again, he informed me it isn't an emergency so, I waited another 2 days for them to come and do the same as before. Now, I dread coming home and I fear going to bed at night, fearful that a rodent will run across my place or even, get into my bed with me. Now, I'm not sure what I am going to do next. Even now, the criminal element in the area has, stricken by breaking the glass of our security locked door yet, we have no security officers in place. Knowing the difficulty I faced trying to find all of the amenities I searched for and, finding them at this location now, leaves me withdrawn. Madison Park isn't a terrible place but, it needs improvement. The onsite managers are the best part of the experience now.

Staff and maintenance techs are very great at there work and there people skill are awesome.

Madison Park is where I belong!! I feel like they understand that for alot of people this is our home , our comfort zone, and the place that no matter what is going on when we come back here it's our place of peace.

I moved in 3 years ago and have loved my apartment and management.

It's a dog friendly pet friendly, building who's neighbors are friendly and helpful. Great management and workers as well!. Thanks for being and bringing an awesome experience for us residents!

The staff is pleasant and professional, the janitorial staff does an excellent job cleaning. Madison Park is an older building with an aging resident population but for the most part the building is well maintained. Presently, the backdoor handles and the ramp’s guard railing need repair/replacement.

TLC and Madison Park Apartments are a great choice when considering living in Hyde Park.

Madison Park Apartments is an attractive well maintained buildin in a very good location. The 1 bed and 2 bed apartments are available in several different floor plans, The building is within easy walking distance of stores, restaurants banks professional offices. Transportatioin to the Loop and other areas include several buslines and the Metra train. Finally it is a short walk to the lake.

I have been a resident at Madison Park apartments for a little over 4 yrs. I have not come across any issues with residents or staff. I like that any maintenance requests I’ve had, all have been completed in a timely manner.

So far so good I'm not having any issues at the moment but one thing I can say is your maintenance staff and management staff are very nice and professional great people to know Tania and Bri and Van awesome.

The maintenance crew is very good really a very nice group of men that takes care of business.

This is a great place although this is my first month, I'm excited with my place and the neighborhood and community

The management team has being great Ms. Hickmon was a Excellent manager at Madison Park Apartments, I which she could have continue as management here, but am sure the New management team Ms. Theresa here at Madison Park Apartments has being Excellent management team as I have seen. They listen to your concerns as a Tenant and make sure things are going properly in the building. I hope the Management Team at Madison Park Apartments will continue to endure their Best. Thank you.

Madison park apartments is the best place you could live, even though this is my first apartment I still love it my favorite part is when you enter the lobby there's always music to greet you and have you in a great mood

I love the idea of the apartment but the minor things that could’ve been fixed when I first moved in still haven’t been fixed and who’s to say the office still has that paper. I still have no light in my room I’ve been using a ring light this whole time renting this unit. Seems like a lot of things were half fixed just for someone to move in for the money. The apartment really isn’t worth the price if you can’t simply have things updated like the shower heads, toilets stoves and refrigerators. Not to mention the overly dusty filter. I have pictures of everything from when I first moved in so no one can try to charge me for them not fixing anything.

Awesome convenient location, beautiful lobby for relaxing, friendly staff & workers. Location is the best!

When we originally moved in during the spring the building was ideal, now it appears that they are under staffed. Everyday the laundry room is flooded & its 1-2 days to be fixed, the lobby needs to be repainted, the elevator walls are rarely cleaned, and the maintenance techs are providing mediocre services.

Great place to live in Hyde Park area, convenient to the downtown area, great transportation in front of your door also accessible to the Metric line, walking distance to stores, cleaners, beauty shops and other amenities. Great area to live in, neighborhood friendly.

I actually love my apartment I am enjoying my living space at Madison Park Apartments Ive been here for two years.

Madisom Park Apartments is a beautiful building with attractive apartments. The layout of my apartment is comfortable. The building is well managed. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and professionally. In addition, the location is great with many businesses, restaurants and services within easy walking distance. Public transportation is within 1 to 3 blocks.

The rent is right and they are nice-sized units. The units are also pretty soundproof, which is wonderful. Maintenance issues are fixed promptly and the property is well maintained. The park behind the building is perfect if you have dogs. I'm not sure why it says there is a gated yard (there isn't) and covered parking (there isn't any off-street parking). The other reviews are correct - there is a lot of noise from the street (you get used to it) and management is not responsive. They take a hands-off approach. For example, after I had about $300 worth of packages stolen, I told management I didn't feel safe here because of it and her response was basically, well that sucks. I asked why the cameras were not pointed at the package area and I got a blank stare. Also, I emailed once because it smelled like my neighbor was smoking in her unit. No response. They can respond all they want that they're working on it, but truthfully, until there's a staffing change, it's not going to change.

Madison Park Apartments is a good value. The units are a good size, with storage, and the building is relatively quiet. It is close enough to 53rd that it's an easy walk towards it, but far enough away that you don't get the noise. You do get a lot of street noise from Hyde Park Blvd though. Maintenance is responsive, but management isn't.

I am a senior, enjoy my apartment. Its quiet and peaceful.

It’s a great location/good rent pricing but leaves a lot to be desired. I had several packages stolen and the response was basically it’s not their problem. So, if you don’t plan on getting deliveries, it’s perfect. If you do get deliveries, you have to watch like a hawk or they will get stolen. It is not a secured building at all. One of them was a signature only and the person actually signed. Also, it’s really loud (noise from the street, music, fire station nearby) So if you work from home, you will find it hard to hold/attend meetings.

The affordability and convenience of location makes this the perfect and safe location for raising a family.

Madison Park Apartments is the perfect place for living in Hyde Park as it is essentially two blocks away from everything you need. The management is very nice, the building is quiet, and the rent is affordable.

The community is nice/clean and the apartments are surprisingly soundproof. I love being here and I'm so glad I live here!

Our family has found a very reasonably priced apartment with Madison Park Apartments! We also really appreciate the opportunities to foster community with neighbors.

Great common areas. Great location. Great to walk around. Terrible management communication. Terrible plumbing. Quite neighbors but loud noise easily heard from the street (buses, music, fire station nearby)

Madison Park Apartments is an attractive building with from the lobby to the various floor plans available. The location is great with easy access to public transportation, short walking distances to many stores and services. The areas around the building is attractive and great for walking.

Nice place to live in the Hyde Park Community, close to stores, shops , great transportation to downtown via bus, and Metra. Quiet, friendly tenants.

I really enjoy living at Madison Park. The staff is patient and very helpful, the lobby is beautiful and for a tiny space the fitness center is actually decent. It's also really easy to get downtown since it's walking distance to the 6, and actually during rush hour the bus picks up and drops off right outside the complex. The one drawback is they may price me out as they continue to raise the rent, but I have no complaints about the actual building.

With a laundry room & fitness center located in the building this building already has more amenities than other buildings I've found in Hyde Park. All apartments also have central AC/heating and come equipped with hooded ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers. The management office also signs and holds any packages you have delivered. The only negative is perhaps the contract price for rental is raised with each year for no reason but simply because your renewing.

Nice apartment complex, very near the University of Chicago, the staff has always been diligent and courteous with my inquiries. It is a quiet building in general, and I would say the only thing that I would have liked more would be in unit laundry and a deck for pool/BBQ

Madison Park Apartments is a friendly building. Everyone I have encountered is so nice and very helpful. The management goes out of their way to be accommodating. My apartment has a view of the skyline and I have my own fireworks show every fourth of July and New Years. I have central air and control my heat. I have a dishwasher, microwave, and plenty of cabinets. Plenty of room and closet space. The amenities include an exercise room, laundry room with tv, free wifi in the lobby as well as piped in music. Beautiful lobby with comfortable furniture for lounging and desks for studying. All in all the happiest place to live.
