Property Ratings at Macomb Manor - Roseville, MI
The communication from the office is absolutely abhorrent. I've had 3 things broken in my unit now for almost 5 months and every time I call the office to inquire about them I get a different answer, and a day that supposedly the maintenance guy will show up (spoiler alert, he never does). It's almost the middle of summer and my AC is still broken. This place is not worth it, look at better options.
The new management company that took over has really turned this place around. They fixed the pool, updated the apartments, installed new roofing and repaired the parking lot. The staff is super friendly and helpful, too! This isn’t the same place it was at the beginning of the year. I’m very happy with the changes that have been made. I would recommend giving Macomb Manor another look.
Please do not waste your time applying with this facility. Gwen is very unprofessional Total Lack Of Communtication. I Was Given 3 move in dates. and each time the week of that day. I had to make a visit to the office because of course I wasnt called or informed of anything. that they had no unit available after I applied and was approved 2 months in advance. I Strongly Recommend Nobody Waste Their Time. she will tell you they have something for you and never follow up with you. worst management ever.
This place has horrible communication if I could give 0 stars I would. They are taking people hard earned money and wasting people time. I put an application in for a 1 bedroom apartment on Saturday 07/20 paid the fee and everything and was told by Gwen that I should be receiving an update that Monday 07/22 it is going on week 3 with no communication. I finally called and asked about the status of my application and was told that Gwen the property manager would be contacting me shortly. I put my application in quickly because they had a special running and I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity. I want my application fee back because of the lack of communication it is not fair that I should lose my application fee due to there lollygagging and wasting my time.
I must admit it was under previous ownership and management but, since then, I can say the staff is much more on top of their game and they are straight up rather then talking in circles. Also, when a business has a changing of the guards it is never seamless and adjustments have to be made (and that is keeping it real). I have never met a request under the new ownership, and management that has not been addressed timely. I know the new manager, Toni and maintenance supervisor, Ben, both have worked tirelessly to meet my request. I can image what efforts they have put in to fulfill everyone else request. Considering, yes they had a lot to clean up from previous ownership/staff. I can say although we had some ruff patches with the changing of the guards, everything has improved over all once the transition was made. I have been here 3 years and I have no intentions of leaving this site, as I enjoy my apartment, location and the staff. I have even recommended this site and have had people to rent here. I also like how the parents work together to look out for the children. This is my honest and fair assessment and I have lived in other apartments.
Terrible place. Have been living here for two years and can't wait for my lease to be up. Rent is entirely too high for a one bedroom apartment. That doesn't even come with a washer and dryer. I have to pay an extra $150 for a washer and dryer. Pay $10 for a washing card and still put Money on it. The material of the house doesn't clean right. And stuff breaks EASILY. The staff are unprofessional. When I went in to pay my rent I had to wait 10 min for the lady to finish what she was doing to help me. I have been paying the same way for two years and all of a sudden they didn't want to take my check to where I had to call corporate. I will never come back here.
I love the new company that owns Macomb Manor. I haven't had any problems. Maintenance comes whenever I have any concerns. They repaved the parking lot. Great place to live.
In the winter my heat was not working I called & told the offic and maintenance NEVER CAME!!!! My first couple of months there I've seen beds & couches by the garbage can & never thought anything of it, then one day I see a bed bug crawling on my daughter's bassinet! I called and asked if an exterminator could come out, he never came and I had to throw everything out And get my own!!! Not to mention There's really big potholes in the parking lot that's been there since the winter & seems like they'll never get fixed. I wouldn't recommend staying at Macomb Manor to anyone!
Air conditioning went out and was told it was an amenity not a need. It's only June and can't imagine going the whole summer without air-conditioning. I would absolutely look somewhere else
Ive been here 3 years going on 4 and every year they keep going up on the rent everyone ismt paying the same amout and thats not fair and when ever u need something fixed u have to put the rewuest in twice or call and ask if they forgot. This isnt a good. Place to stay and im ready to move bht my lease isnt up till nov. Sad
Maintenance does not live on site. During winter heating is terrible when called to have fix I was told they were one hour away and would be 10 pm until they arrived and in the meantime to open my stove for additional heat. Note I have a 2 year old child. In summer air conditioning went out next day someone came to fix it but compressor was blown which never got fixed. Needless to say I went remainder of summer with no air. At the end of my stay I had to paint a few walls I had painted back white. Which I did. Then received a bill in the mail for 400 dollars because they state I left paint on carpet and they had to replace it. Although when I did my original walk in there was paint on carpet which was noted on my check sheet. I assumed that they naturally have to clean carpet before new tenant moves in or I would have done myself. Contact them to ask if I can come clean it because I could get it out and they state that carpet was already replaced! This complex to me are just money hungry. Besides that they charge over 700 a month for a 2 bedroom and everything in there is outdated.
