The pictures shown are false advertisement. These are apartments are trash. The front desk staff is rude. Run from this place !

Keep up the great atmosphere!

This is my second time staying at this apartment complex. First time I stayed here I was amazed how understanding and home-warming the staff was. It is like a small village where everyone knows each other. It is all thanks to the staff that create this kind of atmosphere. These are the main reasons I returned to the complex. Love the staff! Love the neighborhood and the neighbors! I had a few maintenance issues. The issues have been attended and taken care of professionally. Keep up the great atmosphere!

Not a place to live if you want a quiet night

I moved in on Dec 7, 2017, and that weekend the tenant above was throw a party starting at 1am to 4am which let to a domestic fight outside. I had to call the police and left message with management. This has been going on for over 4 months. This is unacceptable. This behavior started on Friday's and Saturdays, however the fighting, banging on things, stomping. Running all between the hours of 1am to 4am, have left my health deteriorating due to the lack sleep. To make up for this i have to sleep most times during to day. I have called the police and management many times during the four months nightmare. Management claims they have sent her eviction letters. My drs have advise me to move out fue to the deterioration of my health. No one should live like this. Please dtsy awsy from this apt complex. I have stsy at nany other MAA properties and this one is not up to the standard. I feel corporate needs to psy mite sttention on the wsy its being managed. After this experience, i will never tent from another MAA property again.

Park Haywood is the worst decision I have ever made.

I KNOW THIS IS LONG, BUT PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS COMPLEX! If you are new to the area or are looking for spacious apartments for a good price, you may be enticed by the facade that Park Haywood has put on. My first impression of the place was negative due to the horrific customer service (but I was in a time crunch and needed a place fast). I whole heartedly wish I had never even found these apartments. When I moved in the apartment was a disaster and need several repairs, so I put in order after order for things to be fixed-ceiling fan was about to come off, holes in the ceiling, toilet was leaking, light bulbs were out. About two weeks into the apartment (after being bullied several times by the front office staff) the bugs started to move in and the lovely stomping of a child began from the apartment above. I dealt with it because I pay for a monthly bug spray (which I found out only covers ONE apartment building per month, so if you think about it I'm in 1305 which means at least 13 buildings and mine would get sprayed once a year! Then the rain came and flooded my carpet, more bugs, continuous negative conversations with the front office, the list is endless. And now the reason why I decided to finally write a review is because the hub caps on my boyfriends car were stolen. I have lived in several apartments, and maybe my standards are too high, but paying almost $1000 to live with noise, bugs, rude staff, and possible damage to my own car is worst decision of my life.

Two Stars

The lawn maintenance is a plus. You will hardly find any trash or debris throughout the community that is not quickly cleaned or removed. The pool is older, 8-foot deep older, but is a quiet place to relax. The apartments were built in the 80's and the company is only updating them "as needed". Mine as well as my two neighbors were not updated. Along with periodic maintenance comes plumbing issues and bugs (in the older apt). There seems to be many 'temporary fixes' that just lead to more disastrous issues later. There is a dog park and an area with charcoal grills. Grills do not seem to be used that much, possibly because they are out dated and last minute grilling (without charcoal) is never an option. You have to pay for cable, its 'included'. No opting out of it. You also have to pay for your monthly statement: $4.95 for paper (in your mailbox) or .95 for e-mail...because there is just so much effort and time spent on printing or emailing! The large dumpsters throughout the community are not free - $7.99/month. The pest control is $4.99/month. The property management company does try to do things for the residents. They have residents month in the summer with 'goodies' every week. They also have resident appreciation night every month. The staff...there is an assistant property manager that is very often unpleasant to deal with and responds with irrational emotion. Carries an attitude as if all residents are 'idiots'. The maintenance crew is always quick to respond and most usually completes service request as desired.

park at Haywood

First off, the staff is amazing. They are willing to do anything for you & help in any way. They are very neat & clean. The scenery around the whole lot of apartments is so beautiful. They are pet friendly & the scenery is perfect for dogs. Even equipped with a dog park (& of course a pool open all year round) . I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Park Haywood

Moved in with a great deal but they pick and choose who they accommodate. We were with out water for three days and we have a toddler. No compensation and our water bill was the same as the prior month. They don't charge you by what you use but how much your building uses and divides it up. They seem to be allowing more "short term" tenants and by that I mean people who cant afford the rent and get vacated. Our rent increased by $100 when we renewed and now again it is another $100 higher. We have not received new appliances or anything. We have to pay for services we don't use or want. A mandatory 95 cents allows you to receive your rent post through email or $5 will get you a paper copy. A pet fee is enforced but does not cover any damage the pet creates. The 8-feet deep pool is open year around and usually is not crowded but there are a lot of people that visit that do not live in the complex. They say they enforce the pool attendance but they have not in the two years I have been a resident. There is a manager in the office that gives you attitude for just about anything. She is quick to accuse you with out hearing both sides. Maintenance has always been great. We woke up with out power on Christmas our first year and they were here within 15 minutes of the call. There is one gentleman that has worked here for years and takes care of the land maintenance. From power washing to trash pick up, he does a lot to keep the complex looking great. Park Haywood is overall kept up with but Monday's are dreadful if you work nights. The lawn maintenance crew they hire make the most nose I have ever heard of when it comes to cutting the lawn. It is not just a cut and leave but rather use a leaf blower, cut the grass, trim the edges then use the leaf blower again. It usually begins at 8am and they finish around 6pm. Very annoying! The neighbors have come and gone several times but overall it feels like a safe complex. You meet the few that stay for years and we watch out for each other. It will be sad to say farewell to them when we leave in November!
