What began as a resort getaway for the Low Country elite in the 19th century has blossomed into a thriving community on the outer edge of the Charleston area. Countless buildings in town have been added to the National Register of Historic Places, so the local architecture definitely contributes to the charming atmosphere.
The town has experienced massive growth since the 1980s, meaning many of the apartments and homes are fairly new, and the cost of living is very affordable compared to many places closer to the city. Only about 30 minutes to downtown Charleston via I-26, it’s a great place for commuters to call home. At 65 yrs old we have seen a lot of negative changes in the world--but not here--from the office (karissa) to maintenance and landscapers etc...work ethic/sincere caring/real neighborhood feel...its ALL here...took us northereners 2yrs to find what we thought no longer existed...but it does...AWESOME place AWESOME people...astounding staff n support staff??

Thought this place was great the first year we were here. Great location, close to most everything. Enjoy the pool and other amenities. BUT if you don’t work a 9-5 job they are certainly not accommodating. We work nights and dont get home until 3am, this last two months they have people working on various projects outside our window and in the apartment above us constantly waking up at 9am (Sometimes from our room literally shaking). Yay for no sleep :( Staff is rude about it and workers are loud and purposely knocked over my plant laughing. We are getting fed up with them.

Five years, staff very accomodating, long-term,established neighbors adjacent, good apt with great natural light, nice ammenities
It is a nice, clean community.
We have been in the apartment complex for only 9 months and have been very satisfied with almost all we have experienced. There have been a few material problems with the space it all have been quickly and properly repaired by an outside contractor or the maintenance crew here.

It looks like the goal of Farmington Village is to appear as an overall luxury apartment complex. Since I moved in almost 3 years ago, the exterior has gone downhill and it's a pain to get repairs on the interior. High rent costs should equal high priority upkeep of carpets, walls, floors, appliances, etc in apartments. The one I'm living in began falling apart within the first year. Pros of living here are that I find it to be quiet and the staff is friendly.
Farmington Village is a quiet, friendly family neighborhood. The staff, from office to maintenance, is friendly, professional and attentive. All-in-all: a great place to call home!
Conveniently located... overall apartment itself is satisfactory. Love the included cable and utilities. Simply have an issue with too many large dogs on the property and the remains of poop.
Over all the experience is very nice. Nice neighbors and maintained well.. although the trash compactor is becoming an issue over the last year or so. Also the pricing is becoming more and more with little to no extras coming to the property. Cable is horrible here also and you are mandated to have it!
I have really enjoyed my stay. I office staff are so professional and willing to do whatever it takes to make your living experience the best it can be.
This is the most pleasurable apartment complex I've ever dealt with! My apartment is everything I could ever ask for, the office staff bends over backwards to make sure everyone is kept happy, it's such a convenient location, and I felt welcomed and at home from the minute I walked into the office! This will be my home for LONG time!

You will be forced to pay for cable. You do not receive warning when pool will be closing. Theres dog poop everywhere. I lived there 5 years and they will do everything they can to screw you out of your deposit plus more. The appliances are crap... everytime mine broke they rigged it or moved an older one in to replace it. My dishes were never ever clean. Rent of course sky rockets higher every year. This place is way to expensive. Water leaked in my house and due to poor insulation and crap windows my power bill was never under $200. Move somewhere else not here.

Staff is awesome, pleasant, friendly, and knowledgable. Apartments are well maintained and if any issues arise they are fixed quickly. Very quiet complex and friendly neighbors. We have a new fire pit that is just to die for. Close to main street and lots of shopping and restaurants. Very pet friendly. Apartments themselves are very spacious with plenty of closet space, great for roommates.
The apartments are great! They are big, updated and my apartment is near EVERYTHING! The amenities are also great. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
My family and I have been living here at Farmington village for 2 years and for the most part I can say it's a pretty nice area. The location is quiet,near many amenities, and just minutes away from I-26. The layouts of the apartments dont look like an apartment layouts butter have a home feel. The only problem I have with this apartment complex is they constantly go up on their rent when the renewal come around and for that reason my family and I will have to move.
I have been here 3 weeks and I love it. Im in an area where EVERYTHING is 5 minutes away; shopping, movies, resturaunts, and more. My area is generally pretty quite. Sure, you here the occcasional kids yelling but its only outside during the day...somewhere off in the distance. As far as my unit goes, I dont hear that much noise either! That has nothing to do with the unit itself; this is just clarifying how considerate and quite the neighnors are. Alot of bugs in the area but never see any in the house. The floorplan I have makes my apt feel like an actual house. Its a spacey 2 bdr with its own private staircase. Alot of reviwers complained about the kitchen not having "updated appliances". Thing is, they are not neccesarily outdated either. Its just not stainless steel. Im a decorative person by heart so I figured out how to make my kitchen POP. My home is very beautiful either way.
