Property Ratings at MAA Ballantyne
I’ve lived here for several years and used to enjoy the community, but things have drastically changed. Recently, new neighbors moved in upstairs with a large dog that frequently runs, barks at all hours, and causes loud banging sounds—sometimes as early as 4:45 AM. Despite wearing earplugs, the noise is so disruptive that I’ve been woken up multiple times a week, and my sleep and health have suffered significantly. I reported the noise to the leasing office multiple times and followed all suggested steps, including keeping a detailed log and contacting patrol services. Unfortunately, management has done very little beyond “reminding” the residents, and the issue persists. I feel like my quality of life has been completely disregarded. It’s deeply disappointing that a place I once called home has become unlivable due to poor accountability and lack of enforcement of basic noise and pet behavior rules. If you're looking for a quiet, respectful living environment, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

This place is not fit for family with young kids as you cannot take them in to the play area as there will always be some big boys playing soccer and its not safe. The management is not helpful and does not understand the risk or safety of young kids.

I love my apartment and the location. However, after three years I find with the increase in rent every year it is getting financially challenging to live here. It would break my heart to have to leave.
Plenty of room for a one bedroom apartment. Great location. Many restaurants and shopping nearby. Access to interstate is close by. Post Ballantyne grounds are kept up well. Plenty of parking and parking spaces are wider than normal. Quiet. No issues with any tenants. Office personnel are professional and helpful with any issues. Maintenance requests are taken care of promptly and done the right way the first time.
Very good...front parking is an issue sometimes with customers from restaurant across the street taking up spaces meant for residents..rent getting way to expensive considering the apts are no longer new..but enjoy living here..
I?ve been here almost ten years and I still love it. The Ballantyne location means accessibility to 485, I77 and I85,which means all parts of Charlotte are easy to get to. There are tons of restaurants within five minutes and nearby medical care. My apartment is spacious and quiet. The property is beautifully landscaped and kept clean. Office personnel are friendly and helpful, and maintenance is first-rate - things are repaired quickly and right the first time. I?m staying!
Great facilities, great support, great location. If something breaks or needs attention you just put it into their app and it?s fixed in one business day, and you don?t have to be home to let them in.

I've lived here almost a year and can't wait until we move out. The trash is always full and you get charged for trash every month. Never anywhere to park near my apartment. Pest control is charged monthly I have never seen them and I have alarm I know if anyone enters. Air filters not once in 10 months has anyone changed. My range is from 1990 but my rent is from 2020. Garbage disposal has broken multi times. My guest tub we have called over 10 times because paint keeps falling off. Loud music all NIGHT!!!AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST

I fell in love with my apartment at first sight and have enjoyed living in this very spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a huge balcony and a great view on the Charlotte skyline. The layout of the apartment met all my requirements, the management was always very friendly and responsive. The complex is in walking distance to a variety of stores, great restaurants, entertainment and still close to the freeways - just 20 minutes away from the airport or downtown and still surrounded by beautiful landscape, ponds with fountains, which invite to walks and wonderful relaxation after work as do the pool and the gym.
Post Ballantyne has a beautiful property, is a quick walk from grocery shopping and restaurants, and is a very calm and pleasant place to live. They are dog friendly and provide plenty of areas to walk your dogs. The neighbors are polite and everyone really keeps the grounds clean. All in all, it is a great place!
Awesome manicured grounds with lots of beautiful trees and landscaping. Excellent office staff and service staff.
Good size apartments, with walkin closets, a lot of windows for bright rooms. Close to restaurants and grocery stores.
