I’m not recommending this place to anyone , cheap built, no security cameras, people without handicap permits parking on handicapped spots, there is no way to contact security, EV chargers only 3 out of 6 working, no recycling facilities have I mentioned I hate living here ?

Thanks so much for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear about your frustrations. While we don’t have security cameras at the buildings, we do have security staff on-site to help. All EV chargers are up and running—any recent downtime was just brief maintenance by a third party. We also have a recycling bin by the trash compactor for everyone to use. Since our buildings are wood-framed, some noise is normal. Please remember that a valid handicap permit is needed for accessible parking, and feel free to report any issues to the office. We appreciate you helping us keep Lynwind a great community!
Lynwind is an excellent location to live! ALL the staff is great, from the leasing officers to the maintenance team, they literally make you feel at home. I am so happy I live here and I will be here for years to come.

Sure. Place isn't too bad. The fire alarm only mistakenly went off at 1:00 a.m. two times, although one was during the worst hurrican we have had in decades and the other was during 30° freezing temperatures. The gates were nice when they worked for the first 6 months, and only three cars have been broken into the last year here. The playground by the alligator pond is pretty cool though!! I'm obviously not intending for this review to be public, but I'm hoping some of these things can be fixed going forward.

Just signed a 2nd long lease. We lived in FL 10 years before LW. We liked our other places but Lynwind has some nice qualities some FL apartments don't. This review is our experience so far. Grounds r lovely! Lakes. Fountains. Gorgeous landscaping. Palm trees. Flowering trees. Well manicured. Feels off the beaten path natural w great views of nature. Birds coasting on wind, including a family of Sandhill Cranes here. Breeze is always awesome! It is near a natural lake. Nice sized lanais that have a panoramic view! Great security: We love that they have many security cameras. Police live here. Security officers patrol gated community all night. We have lived in places w high hoa that did not do this much to protect residents/property. Feels good that Greystar/Lynwind takes security seriously. Community: It is nice to see young families, couples w new babies/puppies, people walking dogs, having family visits, enjoying pool. Neighborhood has a nice laid back vibe. Buildings: Color scheme is pretty. Modern looking. Great paint color choices. White, w hints of gray, orange & beige. Perfect combo of modern & nature. Units: Inside of units is relaxing. We looked at other places before here & were annoyed by the hospital break room look of all white cabinets in kitchens & white walls. Lynwind has cream coffee walls, light gray & light wood tone kitchen cabinets, off white counter tops w tiny gray specks & a lovely espresso floor. Easy to clean, pretty & makes u feel relaxed. Staff: Good experience of quick, reasonable response so far. Nice people. When we got here, the builder's contractors had used an appliance in our place in a bad way. This had nothing to do w Greystar/Lynwind & as we have built several homes we have seen this before. Greystar was great getting it replaced fast. No argument. In an apt rental that is nice as not all places do that. We know. We have experience to compare. Dog Park: We have a great view of the dog park & love watching people play w their dogs. Being a former dog mom/dad, we can say this park is great! Huge, well maintained, clean w a lot of fun things for dogs. Was clearly built w dog moms/dads in mind too w an outdoor big screen tv, couch area, lots of benches & sun shades that don't interfere w the wide open feel of the park. It borders a lovely lake w 2 fountains which is a great sound/view & has a dog wash building. This park is double the size of what our single family yard was. Quite the perk for dog families.

We loved this complex at first--the amenities and our particular apartment are just beautiful. But we have endured 6 months of being awakened in the middle of the night--2am- 5am-- by our upstairs neighbors who have admitted to us in a letter that they work during the night from home and sleep during the daytime hours--the exact opposite of when most residents adhere to county & community quiet hours of 10pm - 7 am. There is a large family in a 2 bedroom who get up, shower, dress, use their washer and dryer and other computers and heavy machines--we can even hear their keyboards above our bed. We were advised by our management to record videos to demonstrate frequency and noise by date and time which we did. We played management a sample to hear. After more complaining to management, including verbal, written and in-person meetings, we were informed that a Notice to Cure was sent. The noises and banging nightly continued Management then asked for copies of the recordings which we provided, with the legal position of both the community lease and this county's (Polk) noise disturbance ordinance--both stating the quiet hours 10 pm - 7 am, and the county noise ordinance stating NO decibel level is required to constitute disturbance. After 6 months of sleepless nights, management then informed us that their company's lawyer had advised them that unless they created a disturbance above 75 decibels (!), no further action could be taken. They offered us a different apartment, or the option of leaving altogether without penalty. They also advised us to get a white noise machine. We refused all 3 options. We next asked to speak with their lawyer to seek a copy of this 'so-called decibel ordinance' since it directly contradicted the one we had provided. When we called their lawyer, he was rude, refused to speak to us, and told us that we could find the law ourselves. Click--he hung up on us, mid-sentence! We then consulted the Polk County code enforcement police officer, the police confirmed that NO such decibel level existed to define a disturbance. We once again copied management on the county ordinance and the police reply refuting mgt. interpretation of the law. We were informed finally, after sending 2 emails, the first ignored, that management would do nothing further; that we would need to call the police ourselves in future. Still waiting for Regional to call us--over 2 weeks!
Lynwind Apartment is a very safe and clean location to live. This community is always maintained clean and very well taken care of. The Greystar Team, who runs this community are very experienced in what they do best, they really care about there residents. The maintenance response time is very fast. So far, this moving experience has been one of the best I’ve had. All of the staff are very friendly, the community is clean and quiet, and the amenities are absolutely beautiful. The property gives a resort-like feel so I never want to leave the house. 10/10 experience for me!

I would reccomend Lynwood more if it was more secure. The lack of security leaves us very exposed. Everyone is very kind and everything looks nice, but there is also a huge lack of reliance on basic amenities (elevators always breaking down, water being shut off) besides this, we are happy with our decision to move here.
