The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Luna
I moved into this apartment while completing my last year of training as a physician at the University of MN. The building is nice and relatively new. Apartments small but nicely furnished and reasonably priced. There was a change in management halfway through my lease, but I didn't note any big issues at the time. The problems started when I moved out. During the last month I was there, I found other people parked in the parking spot I was paying $125/month for multiple times. Phone calls to the office about this were not returned. In the one case where there was actually someone in the office to speak to about this, it turned out SHE was parked in the spot, though she was kind enough to tell me that she'd be leaving in about 45 minutes and the parking spot I WAS PAYING FOR would be available then. I ended up getting to load my belongings into my car in the rain, while paying for street parking, multiple times. Then I moved out. Less than a month after I'd moved out, I started getting repeated calls from an unrecognized phone number. I eventually answered to tell them to stop calling me, and discovered it was a debt collection agency. Rather than calling, e-mailing, or snail mailing me the final month's utilities (all methods of contact they had), the management company sent $177 to a collection agency less than a month after I moved out. I called the office multiple times, listened to their cheerful message indicating that "Village Green has been number one in resident satisfaction six years running," left multiple messages, and did not receive a call back. Eventually, I apparently called at the magical time and spoke with a human being, who confirmed that the collections call was not a scam. She informed me that they had “had an issue” with the previous property manager, that the debt had been sent to a collection agency automatically (again, less than a month after I moved out and with NO attempt to contact me). She offered an apology, but nothing else. Unfortunately the apology will not repair the damage to my credit rating. I am absolutely furious. The amount of money in question is frankly negligible for me, but I have never in my life had a debt sent to a collections agency, and level of personal disrespect on display here is breathtaking. I would strongly recommend avoiding this complex and this management company.
Property Manager at Luna, Responded To This Review
Here at Luna, we are passionate about providing exceptional quality leasing and rental experiences, so we're disappointed to hear this. We're truly sorry for any trouble you had getting in touch with us, and hope we can schedule an appointment with you to apologize and show you around. Please call us at 1 612-594-3816 or email lna@villagegreen.com at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Luna
New management effectively raised rent by 30%. Building is in a convenient location if you drive or commute by bus. Shady activity in the gas station across the street at night. Management is poor at responding to issues with cleanliness in common areas. Gym is missing most of the dumbbells - either someone stole them or management removed them. Did not feel safe in the neighborhood the past few months; stopped walking and drove everywhere, and didn't go out past 10pm. Unit itself was fine, I had no issues with the actual apartment. Not worth the high rent due to neighborhood and slack management.
I had a confirmed tour for this apartment. When I got there, I tried to get into the building. There were no instructions who to contact and the box outside was giving me "communications errors" as well. I called, texted, and waited past my tour time and no one showed up. Such a waste of my time. They should be embarrassed. Glad I didn't move in here if this is how they operate.

We're so sorry about this! We're working with a smaller staff than usual which resulted in the office closing unexpectedly. We truly apologize for this and we understand your frustration completely. We'd like the opportunity to apologize to you directly. We kindly ask that you give us a call at your earliest convenience at (612) 594-3816 or email lna@villagegreen.com. Sincerely, Luna Management
This staff is super friendly and the crew is professional and friendly!! Pete is always available to listen and problem solve. Aaron is on top of any repairs needed!! Francisco is one of the best people I have ever met! Francisco keeps all our property beautiful, clean, and is always very friendly very personable!
Avoid this place. 1- They will unfairly charge you on the bills. I have paid 3 different bills for electricity each month. There is a lot of hidden options in the bills to charge you more and more. 2-If you want to move out early, you have to pay 3-5 months to break the lease. 3- Maintenance staff can enter your apartment with no permission and previous notice. 4- The rent is so high in comparison to the similar buildings in the area. 5- Say goodbye to your security deposite.
