Property Ratings at Lofts at SoDo
Well first of all- the apartment does have mold within the units. They won't do anything about it though. The fire alarms go off constantly in the middle of the night. They will lie to you and say the building is concrete but it's not- because you can hear your next door neighbors TV and your upstairs neighbor throwing things like a WWE match and the leasing office won't do anything about it. They say they have quiet hours, but they don't follow these rules. The parking garage is small and there's barely any parking, along with your car getting hit most of the time because of how small the corners are. You can only park from the 4th to 6th floor so imagine all the people living in this complex only parking on 3 floors all together. Their gym has equipment that shakes and people steal items like handles/weights so you're unable to enjoy your workout. The pool is often dirty, they don't have staff clean it- you have to do it as if you're clocked in. This place is a disaster, the only plus side to this is the location being conveniently located above a target/TJ Maxx/LA Fitness.

The entire building is infested with mold. Its a secret, so don't ask management, or agents because they will deny everything. The hallways are not air conditioned, which has created the VERY bad mold problem inside the entire buildings walls. You will see that on your tour, just ask yourself "Where does the rain go?"
Recently went on a tour of the property. The staff was amazing, welcoming and friendly. I was beyond impressed with the apartments and amenities, great prices for luxury style living!

I will never live here again. I had a first floor apartment here for 4 years. My car was broken into 3 plus times. The latest management is absolutely horrible. They have roaches....yes they have roaches and unless you cuss them out every week to send maintenance, they will not act like it’s a priority. They go up on rent every year (like $100 every lease). The final straw was my apartment being broken into by entry of the first floor back door. Oh yeah and a month after I left, they sent me a letter stating I owe a late fee from a random month 6 months prior to my lease. I’m still fighting this idiotic claim and although I have proof, it will remains hassle and on my credit until the claim department verify receipts. Hate this place!
I have been living in a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment at the Lofts at SoDo for a year now and I love it!!! The apartment is beautiful, spacious (I have the biggest walk-in closet ever!) and convenient (I love living downtown!)– I can get to the mall or Winter Park in about 10 minutes with I-4 right around the corner. Unlike other apartments I have lived in, surprisingly, I have never had noise problems from residents living above me or from the plaza outside my windows. Melissa, Stephanie and the entire front office team have always been very friendly and helpful whenever I had a question or if I needed to put in a maintenance request. William was always very accommodating with any service request I needed, which was only twice that I needed to call something minor in to the office and they came the same day or the next at the latest. I am only moving to buy a house and I am truly going to miss my apartment, the awesome amities and the staff. Thank you all for making my short stay here so great; I would totally recommend living here!
I've lived all over Orlando and this is by far my favorite spot. There are so many conveniences such as being able to walk to Target and many restaurants, being so close to downtown ($7 Uber!), and Wadeview park is just a few blocks away. The amenities are excellent. The pool area and gym are incredible and complimentary Starbucks is a very nice perk. The staff is very cool and the couple of maintenance issues I've had have been taken care of promptly. Also, the new remodeled apartments look amazing. So far, it has been a great experience!
I've been living here at the Sodo Complex for almost a year now and I think its a great location. The SuperTarget being in the complex is just one of the many positives of living here. When it comes to living in the building I have no complaints, the gym and the pool and the pool come in great use. They just recently updated the second courtyard with corn hole games and a new grill. When ever i'm home during the week the maintenance men are running around looking busy. I'm one of my many jobs is serving and ever since the Gators Dockside has opened i'm able to work close to home and shopping complex has gotten busier. Anyone that has lived here for a while will know that the 7th floor of the parking garage is probably one of the best views, you can see the Orlando eye and the sunsets can be so amazing.
The fire alarms go off all the time. I'm writing this right now at 4:30am and the fire alarm just keeps going on and on (45 minutes of this so far). Every time it turns off, it turns back on 5 minutes later. I've lived here for 6 months- the weekend I moved in it went off about 3 times. Months later it went off again in the evening. Then a few months later it goes off multiple times in the same night at 2am and 4am. Now tonight, 6 months later, still happening. And these aren't normal alarms. They are absolutely deafening, not to mention the echo in the hallways is so loud it's painful. Gates in garage are always broken. Doors to entrances are often broken. The inside of the apartments are nice and the location is great, but these disturbances definitely outweigh the good. I wish someone would've told me this before I moved in. I'd gladly pay an extra $100 a month to be in a quieter, more secure building downtown.
I moved to Orlando from small town Mississippi to build a hotel. I found the Lofts at Sodo, and thought this will be great. I've never lived in a downtown area apartment, and these are great. The only drawback I have had other than noise from the parking garage is that my air conditioning isn't very strong. Other than this, I have had a great time living in this apartment complex. It has a great pool with grills, a patio, and fire pit, Sodo also has two great workout rooms. I would and have recommended it to the friends I've made while down in central Florida.
Great location and beautiful amenities. Lofts at Sodo is located close to I-4, about a $5.00 Uber to Downtown, and upstairs from a Super Target, TJMaxx, numerous restaurants, and other shops. The only complaint I have so far is that the elevators are not air conditioned (there's no fan or anything... just hot Florida air)... it gets pretty hot! I love the layout of my 2/2 and wouldn't change a thing. Overall, it's a good convenient place to live and is a little cheaper than actual downtown living.
