neighborhood of Providence
provides easy access to Route 126 and includes part of Providence College to the south. It is one of the two neighborhoods that make up the North End, and residents drive south to downtown Providence
in less than 10 minutes. Neighborhood homes
for rent include detached houses, condos, and apartment buildings. Bus stops dot the area so residents can enjoy the local scenery without a car.
In Colonial times, this neighborhood remained primarily rural without a major road connecting it, and blossomed during the Industrial Revolution. In 1908, a trolley line connected Wanskuck to downtown. Residents enjoy shooting baskets at the courts in Mansion Park and evening walks in Mansion Park and other neighborhood parks.
