Accessible Chicago village has thrilling nightlife

Nightlife Transportation Commuter Rural Accessible

Summit is a village southwest of metropolitan Chicago near the Des Plaines River and Stevenson Expressway. The town is best known as the setting to Ernest Hemingway's 1927 short story "The Killers" but has a lot more to offer. Summit has a thriving nightlife with tons of lively bars throughout the town. Dance the night away at the very popular Studio 63 Nightclub which is open Wednesday through Saturday until 4 a.m. Go to Fergie & Foz for dancing, happy hour specials, bar games, and themed events. There are restaurants serving late night eats in Summit too. Enjoy El Faro’s signature chile relleno tacos and steak burritos 24/7.

Go to Portillo’s Hot Dogs for Chicago-style hot dogs and crispy fries with a cold can of beer or glass of wine until 1 a.m. When Summit locals aren’t partying it up, you can find them at the Fleetwood Roller Rink, an old-school rink, or enjoying a day out in the sun at one of the four parks in town.

Summit is a great location for commuters. The town is directly connected to two interchanges running in and out of the village. There is a train station in town and it takes only 30 minutes to reach Chicago. By car, Chicago is less than 25 minutes away. Summit is only 15 minutes away from the Chicago Midway International Airport as well.
