Affordable Public Transportation Diverse

Just ten minutes from downtown Hartford, South End is a vibrant community with character to spare. Franklin Avenue forms the main commercial spine of the neighborhood, lined with a diverse mix of shops and restaurants representing a broad range of cultural backgrounds and influences. The rest of the community is mainly composed of quaint houses is a traditional suburban configuration, with small mom-and-pop eateries conveniently located on many of the blocks. Numerous bus stops along Franklin and Campfield Avenues give residents easy access to the broader Hartford area without the need for a personal vehicle. The historic Webster Theater sits just a few blocks north of the neighborhood, giving residents easy access to the many performances hosted there throughout the year, and of course the dining, entertainment, and nightlife of downtown Hartford is all just a few minutes up the road.

It is primarily a latino community so it is closer then most communities but the violence and distrust makes it hard for people to get closer.
