Named after United States Senator Williams Joyce Sewell, Sewell is home to several notable landmarks such as the oldest bar in New Jersey, the Barnsboro Inn. Sewell also houses the Inversand marl pit, the world’s last operational greensand mine, which is renowned for its paleontology.
