Schweiter/Mead is a neighborhood located about three miles southeast of Downtown Wichita. With affordable rentals in every style, abundant amenities, and multiple parks, Schweiter/Mead feels suburban. There are a variety of service-based businesses, shops, and casual restaurants throughout the neighborhood, but most are located along East Harry Street and George Washington Boulevard. While living in this wooded neighborhood you’ll have access to several lush parks like Linwood Park which is a popular spot for picnics, summer barbecues, sports games, and pool days. Schweiter/Mead is also adjacent to several medical offices including the Ascension Via Christi Saint Joseph Hospital, providing employment opportunities and medical care close to home.
