Reedley is located in the San Joaquin Valley, roughly an hour from Sierra National Forest, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park. It is also about 22 miles southeast of Fresno. Reedley's fast access to some of the nation's most valued parks is just the beginning -- situated along Kings River, residents enjoy riverside parks, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, and boating. A variety of parks, a public swimming pool, nearby golf courses, and several hiking trails round out Reedley's outdoor fun.
With a history that dates back to the California Gold Rush, Reedley displays historic architecture in its downtown shopping district. Downtown Reedley is home to the Opera House Theater, built in 1903. Today, it serves as a community theater.
