With Georgia Avenue being the main street of Petworth, you'll find the bus routes 70 and 79 to run by it. There are variety of markets and restaurants to visit, as well as the neighborhood library.

Love Petworth, it's lively Georgia ave./Petworth metro is here (obviously). No matter what time it is you will always see ppl walking around. The gentrification going on is crazy and unfortunate but it is a beautiful diverse neighborhood.

Petworth is a great neighborhood to live in. You have easy access to grocery stores, public transportation, a library, hardware store etc. The only downfall is the violence. It seems like recently we have had a shooting almost every week. Yet, I still feel safe in this neighborhood because all of the violence is targeted/gang related.

I just wish there were more African Americans living around my block.
