There's a lot to like about Ellenton. The location is ideal to commute to Bradenton, Sarasota, Pinellas or Tampa. There are great stores at the outlet mall, a good choice of eating establishments and both Publix and Detwiler's Farm Market if you want fresh from local farms. Ellenton should be much more than a connector city, and if Manatee County ever decides to recognize this by providing more services like they do for the surrounding areas, this hidden gem could become a flawless diamond.

Ellenton/Parrish is a small area with great potential. Ellenton has the outlet mall which brings lots of year-round tourists as well as lots of store-options. Parrish is very rural however is beginning to urbanize. I wish to see Ellenton add more "things to do" for its in-town residents. I hope to see that Parrish never loses its rural, cow's mooing touch that makes it so special.
