Columbia Basin College has served the workforce training and higher education needs of the Tri-Cities region since first holding classes in 1955. Programs at CBC include one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma, two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. Continuing to meet the community’s needs, CBC now offers several bachelor’s degree programs as well.
Various houses and apartments are available for rent within close proximity to the CBC campus in Pasco and neighboring Kennewick. Commuting and traveling from CBC is simple with access to I-182 and U.S. 395 as well as Tri-Cities Airport.
A range of student clubs, gallery exhibits, concerts, theatrical performances, lectures, literary events, athletic games, and study abroad opportunities keep the CBC campus buzzing. The Tri-Cities area offers plenty of annual community festivals and events in addition to parks, museums, and historical attractions. Portland and Seattle are each a three hours’ drive away from CBC too.
