With its distinctive buff brick buildings and live oaks, the TCU campus has been a fixture of the Dallas-Fort Worth area for well over a century. University Drive divides the campus, with the residential section on the west side and most of the academic buildings on the east side. The university boasts major business and journalism schools, with close to half of students participating in Greek organizations. The Horned Frogs athletics program compete in the Big 12 conference, and home games at Carter Stadium are always rowdy affairs.
Just north of campus on University Drive, University Park Village is a major destination for shopping, and the Linwood neighborhood farther north is packed with restaurants, bars, and live music venues. To the south, Bluebonnet Circle offers a couple of popular hangouts like Greenwood’s and Fred’s Texas Café. Legendary nightlife hotspots like Billy Bob’s in the Fort Worth Stockyards are tremendously popular on the weekends as well.
The area surrounding TCU features a wide variety of living arrangements, with apartments, condos, and houses to suit any budget and lifestyle and many affordable options within walking distance of campus.
