Columbia College Main Campus (Columbia) - Columbia, MO Area Guide

A cornerstone of Missouri’s greatest college town

Private Suburban Historic Walkable Cougars

Columbia College has been an important contributor to Missouri’s higher education community for over 150 years, and remains a major fixture in the city of Columbia. The Cougars basketball program regularly finds itself at the top of the rankings in the NAIA, and home games at Southwell Complex always draw a crowd. Downtown Columbia is largely custom-tailored for the collegiate crowd, with Columbia College on the north side, Stephens College on the east side, and the larger University of Missouri on the south side. Downtown is packed with popular bars, restaurants, coffeehouses, galleries, and entertainment venues, mostly clustered around Broadway a few blocks south of the Columbia campus. With two major colleges practically neighboring each other, the city has a huge rental market surrounding the city center; whether you’re looking for a budget-friendly studio or a more upscale townhome or condo, you’ll have lots of options within easy walking distance of the campus.
