Founded in 1849, Eastern Michigan University contains outstanding academic programs and rich diversity on a beautiful 800-acre campus. You won’t have to venture too far off campus to find a variety of things to do. EMU is about ten miles east of Ann Arbor, 35 miles west of Detroit, and 18 miles west of Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
