The University of Maryland, Baltimore County has built a strong reputation for itself as one of the most rigorous institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region. As an honors college, UMBC challenges students to reach their fullest potential, supported by one of the highest-ranked faculties in the nation. The facility’s pioneering research has also led to the establishment of Maryland’s first university research park. The Retrievers sports teams have shown great success in the NCAA, with the men’s soccer team in particular hosting extremely popular home games.
