Located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge’s Scotlandville neighborhood, Southern University and A&M College is a historic fixture in the city and an important contributor to the region’s scholarly community. With over 6,000 students enrolled, Southern is the largest Historically Black University in the state of Louisiana, and the only one with its own engineering program.
