Considered one of the nation's fastest-growing Catholic colleges, Sacred Heart University offers one of the best business programs in the country. It was also named a "College of Distinction" in 2016, and it is considered one of the top New England liberal arts colleges. SHU is located in Fairfield, Connecticut and it opened in 1963. The Sacred Heart Pioneers participate in several sports, including basketball, baseball, and hockey. The men's ice hockey team participates in NCAA Division I as part of the Atlantic Hockey conference. They play at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
