Ocean Grove is a charming Jersey Shore community established in 1869 to serve as a permanent meeting place for the Christian camp meeting movement. To this day, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association organizes a massive conference for the religious group for several months every summer, which incorporates over 100 tents set up around the city’s Great Auditorium.
The historic Ocean Grove Great Auditorium is one of the community’s most famous and popular landmarks, virtually unchanged since its construction in 1894 and hosting a variety of performances throughout the year. Asbury Park’s dining and nightlife district is right on the north side of town, and of course the local beaches are enormously popular with locals and visitors alike.
