Northern Hills is in northeastern San Antonio, roughly 13 miles from downtown and six miles from San Antonio International Airport. It includes the popular Northern Hills Golf Club, which is located along the southeast end of the neighborhood. The North Hills Golf Club began as a private club and it still retains some of that exclusiveness. This 18-hole golf course covers 130 acres and includes a putting green and a clubhouse.
Renting an apartment in Northern Hills allows you to live in a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood just minutes from downtown. Several shopping areas are located just outside the neighborhood, especially along Nacogdoches Road. North Star Mall, just six miles outside of Northern Hills, offers stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Dillard's, and JC Penney. If you appreciate heavy metal, visit Zombies Bar and Music Venue, directly south of the neighborhood at the corner of Bulverde Road and Thousand Oaks. Other great destinations along Nacogdoches Road include Erick’s Tacos and Mi Rancho Alegre Mexican.
